4 1/2, very friendly and knowledgeable vet. Lost half a point for slow delivery of meds.
Response from Dutch Vet· Jul 28, 2026
Thank you so much for this! Glad the vet's friendliness and knowledge came through so clearly. On delivery, we offer priority and rush shipping for faster turnaround, and prescriptions can also be transferred to a local pharmacy if that's quicker for you. Appreciate the honest feedback!

I got response within a few minutes when I was requesting services and within just a couple of days I got to talk to a vet which was very encouraging. To be honest I was concerned with an online vet it was different procedure for me. Wasn't sure if it was the right thing. But after my recent experience I would definitely recommend to my friends and family. Thank you for being there.

We're so glad to hear that your experience with our online vet service was encouraging and positive! We understand that trying a new procedure can be concerning, and we appreciate you trusting us. It's wonderful to know you'd recommend us to your friends and family.

The vets are great. Unfortunately the company is not. All over on their site it advertises 20% off for members with the annual membership. If that doesn’t work, there’s also a fleatick20 code that DOES NOT say one time use ANYWHERE. So we went on Dutch to get our dog’s flea pills, there was no automatic discount, so we applied the fleatick20 & it took 20% off. Then our order was cancelled and refunded because we needed a vet visit. We had our visit 3 or 4 days later at the first available slot, got our flea pills renewed, couldn’t use the code, and didn't get any 20% discount for being members. July 28, 2026 we called customer service, and the rep put no effort into helping us, said there was no supervisor to talk to, and was a little rude. We ended up hanging up. Shortly after we discovered that you can’t simply cancel your annual membership online, we called them back to cancel. The next rep offered us 40% off to not cancel, but figuring we will just go through this next time, and every time hereafter, we opted to cancel. We can go to our local vet, get flea pills for the exact same undiscounted rate, and for about the same cost for an annual visit. There’s literally no benefit having the Dutch membership if you have a local vet!

Thank you for the detailed feedback, and we're glad the vets themselves left a positive impression. We're sorry for the frustration around the discount code, once the initial order was canceled, we should have offered store credit to preserve that 20% savings for your renewed order, and we apologize that wasn't done. We do see you reached back out and our team helped process the cancellation as requested. We're sorry this was the experience after a full year as a member with us.

0 Stars – Absolute Disaster of a “Service” Do yourself (and your pet) a massive favor and avoid Dutch Vet completely. I needed a simple prescription transfer so I could fill it somewhere $30 cheaper. What should have taken a day or two turned into a five-day circus. Five. Full. Days. Just to release the damn prescription. Communication is a complete joke: Emails? You’re lucky if you get a reply within 24 hours. Phone? They don’t even bother answering. At all. It’s like they actively enjoy wasting your time and money while your pet waits. Zero urgency, zero customer care, zero respect for the fact that this is actual medication for an animal. I will never use them again and I strongly suggest no one else does either. There are better options that actually pick up the phone and move faster than a snail on tranquilizers.

Thank you for the detailed feedback. Looking at the timeline: we received the transfer request from Chewy on 7/23. Transfers typically take 1-3 days depending on how busy the queue is, and requests are handled in the order they come in. You had reached out to us a day earlier, on 7/22, before Chewy's request came through, and we asked for the Chewy order number at that time. On 7/24, we escalated this to our pharmacy team, who called it in on 7/25. Please keep in mind Dutch isn't meant to replace urgent care needs, if immediate medication is required, we always encourage going in person.

Love this service. Easy to schedule appointments, Dr. has been very informative and helpful. So much better than running to the local vet and spending a fortune for minor issues.
