Wild Idea Buffalo is unlike any other meat company. We began with a vision of actually improving the eco-system of the Great Plains. Our buffalo are raised on the wide open spaces of South Dakota where they eat only the native grasses beneath their feet. They spend their whole lives roaming freely on thousands of acres, and never see a feedlot or slaughterhouse. The result is better lives for the bison, the restoration of over 100,000 acres of the prairie, and sweet, delicious red meat that is actually good for you. Not such a wild idea after all!

I have eaten your meat for many years, ever since I read Buffalo for the Broken Heart. I have a special spot for the prairie in my heart so was so moved and excited to try the bison and support what you are doing. I have loved all the meat that I have had over the years. Thanks for what you do.

Ordered a package deal to try different cuts. So far we have found them great. Some of the packages are (to me) very small but the meat is wonderful.

As a first time customer, I was not sure what to expect from Wild Idea Buffalo Co., so with the holiday season fast approaching I placed my order hoping for the best. I am very happy to say that I was not disappointed in any way! With freezing temperatures and snow on the ground, having buffalo in the freezer makes winter more enjoyable. To me there is nothing more enjoyable than the aroma of a roast cooking away in the crock pot nearing completion!

We consider Wild Idea Buffalo top shelf. We buy 95% of our red meat this way. Because of wife's condition, we do not eat much steak. But we love the burger. Always delivered in excellent condition at a fair price for this quality of meat.

We were excited about placing our first order with Wild Idea Buffalo. We ordered 3 items that totaled $44.50. I processed the order without paying close attention to the shipping cost. We have ordered quite a bit from Omaha Steaks and the shipping with them is reasonable, sometimes free. After receiving my order confirmation I noticed that the shipping cost was $29!!!. If I would have noticed this at the time of placing my order I would not have done it. We received the product and it is good, but not worth the total cost paid. Sadly this will be our first and last order.

The shipping is a flat rate for a la carte purchases, which means whether you order 1 lb or 100 lbs the shipping costs stay the same. Also, all bundles ship free.
