Wild Idea Buffalo is unlike any other meat company. We began with a vision of actually improving the eco-system of the Great Plains. Our buffalo are raised on the wide open spaces of South Dakota where they eat only the native grasses beneath their feet. They spend their whole lives roaming freely on thousands of acres, and never see a feedlot or slaughterhouse. The result is better lives for the bison, the restoration of over 100,000 acres of the prairie, and sweet, delicious red meat that is actually good for you. Not such a wild idea after all!

Ordered some steaks and a roast for upcoming Spring/Summer grilling. Everything arrives super fast even with the more affordable shipping option and things are packaged so that everything is still solidly frozen. I'm a value shopper so I always look for a deal. But, I'm a solid fan of Wild Idea!

I ordered Artisan Sausage &Ground Sampler as a gift. I placed the order and received this email: "This email is to confirm your recent order on 03/19/2015. Estimated arrival date: Receive in 4 days (by Mon, Mar 23) before 5:00PM". A few hours later I received this email "This email is to confirm that your order has been fulfilled and is being processed for shipment for delivery by: Receive in 4 days (by Mon, Mar 23) before 5:00PM. I forwarded the info to the recipient. The order was not delivered on Monday. Since it was a gift, my friend was hesitant to ask, so she waited around all week. The package finally was delivered on Thursday (3 days later than we were told!). I was embarrassed that waiting for my gift became an inconvenience for my friend. When I called Wild idea Buffalo to complain, I was told that orders made late in the week are sent out on Monday. She couldn't explain why i was given the wrong delivery date( twice!). I asked for a discount for the inconvenience (since it was their responsibility to give the correct delivery date). She said no. I saw that as poor customer service.

I was a bit reticent to try buffalo for the first time but I was thoroughly impressed with Wild Idea. From the way the buffalo are sustainably raised and ethically harvested, to the friendly customer service...grade A++

Products and customer service are excellent. The only criticism I have is that I only can recieve free shipping on bundles. I do not want to purchase any of the bundles, I would much rather have free shipping on all orders over $x.xx, that way I will always order that amount, but it will be of the items I want.

Wild Idea Buffalo Co. in my experience is a great company with great service and product. I have been using the them for several years and find the prices, shipping and Buffalo meat products to be the best. You can buy Buffalo ground meat in the supermarket but I really can't say if I'm getting what is advertised with Wild Idea Buffalo Co I am sure and will continue to do business with this company, Highly recommended! Thanks.
