I was trying to open a trading account but have failed. I tried to log in to my existing website login to open a trading account and I received the message the details were incorrect. Not sure how this can be right as it’s stored in Chrome password manager. However, I changed the password and it still didn’t work. I tried both the Google password manager way and manually inputting the details. It failed to log in again so I changed my password a second time with the same result, failing to log in. The next message was that the account was locked. I made contact via the support chat function to get the account unlocked and this was a truly woeful experience. Very low quality AI with no obvious way of getting connected to a human. I tried to circumvent logging into the website and go straight to applying for the trading account and this confirmed that my email was taken (so I am using the correct details) and that I had to log in, which again failed! I then used the chatbot to try and issue a complaint and was given a link to an email address to contact and my email bounced back as underliverable as "not a valid address". I will not transferring my trading account to Tastytrade if this is the quality of cybersecurity and support that Tastytrade uses.

No cross margin, you have to leg almost any option strategy In since they don’t support any strategy more complex than a literal spread, higher options futures feed than competing brokers, MANIPULATE options for lower volume options forcing you to buy at the ask/sell at the bid (you can see the price change right after you place an order at the mid then see it go back once you cancel the order). horrible liquidation, don’t try to liquidate you in a way that saves your portfolio, just costs you money, very inefficient, hold all deposits for up to 5 business days because they can. horrible software, app glitches every time you open it giving incorrect options prices for a few minutes before reverting to the accurate quotes. Customer service is decent though

Thanks for your review and sorry to hear about your experience. Please consider an uninstall/reinstall of the app as this should improve performance if you are on an older version.

I opened an account to trade options. Then I tried to deposit money on phone, it wont work and if you call customer service, they rudely advise you to deposit over web/computer. It was really hard to login, as they need authenticator app based login. multiple times password had to be reset within short timeout window. Once customer service was rude, we decided not to use the account and let the account be. I will stay with TD ameritrade/ToS though its expensive.

Thanks for your review and sorry to hear about your experience. For security purposes, we do not offer the ability to call in a transfer as our agents do not have access to make transfers on a client's behalf. You can always contact our support desk for help in regards to recalibrating your authenticator app by calling 888-247-1963
