General Proofreading was an outstanding program. I got clients within 3 months of joining the program and keep getting more to the point where I’m completely booked with client work. Proofread Anywhere’s team does a great job of updating the course, and the moderator for the Facebook community has been super helpful during my proofreading journey. I recommend this course to anyone who is serious about becoming a paid proofreader.

Proofread Anywhere empowered me to start my own remote proofreading business, which is now enabling me to stay home with my children rather than commute to an office everyday 9 to 5. The training tutorials combine a healthy mix of video and text materials that are teeming with valuable information about proofreading, grammar, how to get clients and market yourself and copyediting. I immediately started getting repeat proofreading clients after I passed the final assessment in January this year. The training is rigorous and comprehensive, so it’s not for the faint of heart. I strongly recommend Proofread Anywhere’s General Proofreading: Theory & Practice program to anyone who is serious about starting a proofreading business.

The course was extremely helpful, and I was able to go at my own pace. I found that all of the supplemental materials really helped me to pass the exam on the first try. I hesitated on spending time on the business-building modules after the practice section, before I took the exam, but this honestly forced me to spend more practicing proofreading. I got my exam back on the same day that my business cards and county license were completed; it just all came together perfectly at the end. I appreciate all of the guidance and help to get me prepared.

The course was of excellent quality, being comprehensive, and relevant in that it focuses on necessary skills to be used when proofreading. I found the ability to work at my own pace was convenient and having access to the private Facebook Community was helpful. Thanks to Caitlin for creating such an excellent course!

I highly recommend this course. I love the fact that it is self-paced and can be completed while working a full-time job. The content is thorough and provides plenty of practice prior to tackling the final exam. I'm looking forward to taking the next course.

All the information presented in the course was helpful. I was very glad that I chose this course to launch my proofreading career. I will be retiring soon, and I was looking for something that would help fill the gaps, yet I didn’t want to do the usual type of job. So, after researching online, I found this course and was impressed with the level of detail. I would recommend it to anyone interested in looking at proofreading as a profession.

It was a daunting course because I was working and new to CMOS. I appreciate how comprehensive the course is and how supportive the PA General Proofreaders Facebook group.
