So i scrape remodeling businesses and so i choose kitchen and bathroom remodelers and 1 or 2 cities and almost every single time when i request a number like 1800 maximum leads it comes back with 200-500 leads and idk why. On top of this a lot of the time the leads arent even kitchen and bathroom remodelers its plumbers, carpet businesses etc

Hi Mark, The Google Maps Scraper pulls results based on the categories and locations you input, exactly as Google Maps shows them. The catch is that Google sometimes broadens your search on its own, mixing in related categories (like bars or coffee shops when you search for restaurants) or nearby locations you didn't specify. To get around this, Outscraper has built-in filters that let you narrow down your results and keep only what you actually need. You can find a full breakdown of how to use them here: https://outscraper.com/google-maps-data-scraper-filters If you'd like hands-on help setting up your task with the right filters, just reach out to us at [email protected] and we'll walk you through it. Hope this helps, Mark. Talk soon.

Google Maps scraper: works well, recommended for that use case. Other scrapers I tried (Reddit and a few more): every single task ended with "Task returned no results" and no error details. Support was friendly and responsive but couldn't diagnose the issue - the standard resolution was "I'll forward it to the dev team," with no timeline. Prepaid credits mean failed runs don't cost money, but they don't deliver data either, and the balance remains tied to tools that, in my experience, don't consistently work outside of Maps. Buy for Maps. Test carefully before relying on anything else.

Hi Can Lee, Thank you for taking the time to leave an honest and detailed review. Your feedback genuinely matters, and I want to address it directly. You're right. Google Maps scraping is where Outscraper consistently delivers, and I'm glad that part worked well for you. However, the experience you had with the Reddit scraper and other services is not the standard we want to set. "Task returned no results" with no error details, and no clear timeline from support, is a frustrating dead end, and I understand why that would affect your confidence in the platform. The Reddit scraper is currently being reviewed by our development team. While I can't give you a specific date, your report adds weight to getting this resolved properly. If you're open to it, I'd like to personally look into the specific tasks that failed on your account. The more details we have (task IDs, scraper used, parameters), the better our team can diagnose what went wrong and work toward a real fix rather than a generic escalation. You can reach us directly at [email protected] or reply here. We'd like to make this right. Thank you again for the candid review. Warm regards, Outscraper Support Team
