These are extremely cheap feeling shoes. Not at all what I expected. Feel like cheap foam .. no support at all. The color is also horrendous. I tried for them to grow on me but there was no way. Returned. Don’t waste your time or money.

My experience is slightly different from most. I have Mortons and I called and ordered a pair specifically for that. First pair I did not like at all. Really ugly. So called and returned with no issues. Fast and easy. Good customer service. She helped me pick another pair out. Second pair better not ugly but a different looking shoe. I wear them sometimes but like my Brooks much better. They are ok on my feet but just not my style. But as for customer service they were very good. Ok so today almost one year later I received a email from trustpilot saying that Kuru wanted more information or my text would deleted. Really. First I don't still have order number. Second my review wasn't bad. Just didn't like style. For price point didn't care for it. It was not comfortable for my feet. Third. I'm not giving out my personal information. I signed up to TP and they have it So if a year later a company doesn't like your review they make you answer for it. Look up my order from my email. Not liking this FBI type inquiry

My Kuru experience has been good. I initially ordered two pairs (Quantum and Chicane) and returned the Chicane--I didn't like their fit or appearance. I kept the Quantum. My feet sank into the shoe as promised by Kuru, and now they are very comfortable. I took Hoka and the Kuru shoes with me this summer to Alaska (along with high boots). The Kuru shoes became my everyday shoe when I didn't have to walk through water. They were more sturdy and gave more support across stones than the Hoka shoes. (I love Hoka and wear them most of the time at home.) The only Kuru Quantum drawbacks for me are (1) the advertised black/charcoal actually proved to be black/midnight blue--but I receive compliments on these shoes; and (2) they are warm to wear--I live in a hot climate, where the Hoka shoes are cooler. I just ordered another pair of Kuru Quantum shoes today (tungsten/ cardinal color), while my first pair still looks and wears like new even after hard use in Alaska.

I researched several different brands of shoes based solely on their benefits of plantar facitis, knee pain and hip pain. Everything Lead to Kuru footwear being the best. That is a lie. I had a pair of Hoka which worked very well for foot pain. My feet never hurt during our after taking them off and I was able to stand up and walk instantly after siting for a while. The only problem was the stability to help with knee and hip pain was not good. That's why I bought Kuru shoes. My feet hurt every day while wearing them and I can barely walk after sitting for a while. When I wake up in the morning I can barely stand and walk to the bathroom. These shoes have set my foot pain back so bad I will never recommend them to anyone. If you have platar facitis and/or spurs, knee or hip pain stay away from these shoes. Don't pay attention to the reviews on the website either. They take good reviews from Google and other places and use on the site. I wish I had read reviews elsewhere, not just in the site. Maybe I wouldn't have wasted $170. The return policy is horrible. You can't truly evaluate the shoes for comfort because if there's the slightest dirt, smudge or sign of wear they will not return them.

These things hobbled me. I really tried to break them in, but they broke me.

I ordered a pair of shoes from them in May. Within a couple months, the inner heel fabric had already worn through in one shoe. I did a warranty replacement through their website and received credit to purchase a different pair shoes. In less than three months, the inner fabric in BOTH of the new shoes has worn completely through. Customer service informed me that this is common for their shoes to wear after 6 months to a year, which seems bad anyway given how much a pair of these cost. A $150+ pair of shoes should last at least a year even with everyday use. And for me it has barely been six months! I have foot problems and I want to like Kuru shoes, because out of the box they felt great. Doing another warranty replacement, but it's going to be hard to keep buying this product if I keep having to replace my shoes every few months.

I have had toe and ankle pain for years. I'm not extremely overweight and I am an avid outdoorsmen so I know a thing or two about good footwear. I don't like tennis shoes and found Kuru when looking for a shoe that I could be active in but not a hiking shoe. These have wide toes and narrow heel support which causes my feet to slip to the side unless I tie the shoe so tight it causes foot pain. The sole width on these is almost like a minimal soccer shoe and will only support your foot if you tie them very very tight. I wore them for two months during various activities but they are just terrible. Customer service wouldn't give me trade in credit in any amount since it was over the 45 days exchange policy but even if I had been within the 45 days, I had actually worn them to see how they would support my feet so that would have disqualified me for an exchange anyway!! I'd recommend a brand called Olukai. I've never had an issue with their customer support and their warranty is way above and beyond what Kuru provides at a similar price point. Skip the Kuru gimmick and buy a better brand!!

I learned about Kuru through a referral. Turns out we have different perspectives on the shoes. I purchased the Quantum and despite following the breaking in instructions, they are so painful I cannot wear them. Every time I try, within 30 minutes they rub my heel raw. Not just a blister, completely raw, that takes days to heal. I've tried different socks, etc. Upon notifying Kuru (pictures included) they blew it off with the standard "Oh that sucks. Sorry about that" followed with a standard script sprinkled with glitter and cheer. So now I have $160 shoes, barely worn, and I cannot wear them. I was advised that I could send them back, at my cost, and they would inspect them to determine if there is an issue and maybe do something from there, but likely not and if so they would just send me back the same pair. Do better Kuru do better!
