Hi Roberta. We are sorry to hear you did not like the sugar on the outside of the jellies, and that it gave you such a negative experience. We wanted to let you know that our jellies are completely handmade using a traditional French pate de fruit recipe, and the sugar coating is necessary to keep the candies from clumping or melting together. It also helps act as a natural preservative to increase the overall shelflife. This method allows us to make the jellies vegan and gluten free, as well as eliminate the need to use anti-clumping or undesired preservative ingredients. If you would like a refund, or have any further questions or issues, please contact [email protected].
