I had booked a client a post cruise transfer in Venice. The transfer driver never showed up (I get it, it's Italy) but then I had to fight with Ciao Italy to get a refund! Naturally the driver said my clients were a no show but Ciao Italy didn't investigate to find out the facts about what happened. They just believed the vendor. It eventually worked out but it took a lot of work on my part.

Hi Blair thank you for your report and sharing your experience. We checked the correspondence and found that on 9/21/18 Friday we received the email from you, claiming the clients did not find our assistant for the transfer and on 9/25/18 Tuesday, we processed the refund. Sometimes it is difficult to determine the situation, our local assistant said he was there and the client said he was not. We offer transfers services to thousands of passengers and we must rely on our local representatives. In any event, we gladly offered a refund to the client, it only took one business day to process it. Also regarding the comment "I get it's Italy", I am not sure I fully understand what you mean, we as Italians and operating in the hospitality business, our very proud to aim to excellence and work very hard to meet international customer service standards, we certainly do not intend settling to a lower standard of service because we are in Italy, it is actually the opposite.
