The American Massage Therapy Association is the largest non-profit, professional association serving massage therapists, massage students and massage schools. We are guided by a volunteer national Board of Directors who sets the course for the association. As a member-driven organization, we are constantly in conversation with our members through surveys, phone calls, emails and social media to understand the diverse needs of all of our members and their hopes for the profession. We advocate for the issues important to massage therapists across the country at the federal, state and local levels of government. We promote the health benefits of massage to the public, the health care community and other important groups. AMTA provides its members with the strongest benefits in the massage therapy profession and has been serving our community for over 75 years.

For the price that we pay as members, there should be more lower cost or free options

Great association. Just wish the annual price would not rise. Most therapist don’t make a lot of money and membership is necessary for insurance.

AMTA is the insurance I used as a student and now as a professional. They offer many valuable training and CE courses and products to help me advance in my chosen career.

Very helpful staff. If ever I have a few questions. They're always there with an answer. And they're always there when my bank rejects their payment. This happens, about every 3-6 months. The staff is always very friendly and understanding. As we navigate the issue.

Hi folks, This is going to sound rude but I felt that my association with AMTA was mostly irrelevant. I appreciated some of the low cost training but any other benefits really didn't amount to much. The magazine is awful; I feel like you're just recycling articles from over the years with no new information. Massage therapy has a lot to offer but without some kind of rebranding it's never going to get the credit it deserves. Cheers
