Again! Support 👌 absolutely the best customer service. I’m a yorahome lifer and always pumped when I get to purchase an add on.. only wish I didn’t have to pay duties every time I get an order to Canada. But…. Still a 5 star!

Purchased a 6550 used it for About 20 projects and laser module burned out . Approx hrs of use 500 average 80% power . Took multiple emails with tech to determine it was a faulty unit . Should not have to replace the module so soon . No warranty replacement . That’s not great customer service.

Thanks for your review, Irv. I'm sorry to hear that you've had this negative experience with your laser. Laser life is dependent upon operating methods and proper care. Running at full power repeatedly will greatly shorten the life of the laser due to thermal stress on the circuitry. Not taking advantage of routine cooldown stages during long projects can also overheat and damage your laser in the long run, whether you use our laser or not. As they are powerful electro-optical devices with a finite life span, laser modules should be considered as a type of "consumable" item requiring occasional replacement. Your laser is more than six months old now, and and out of warranty. It may be time to replace it with a new one. I buy my Machine last August, less than 6 months later wiring harness BEAKS, not cut BREAKS. The only response from support is new harness is $10 support from group moderator, BUY THE DRAG CHAIN and this would have never happened, all of my work has been on less than 12" of total work space. I really feel they should beef up their wiring harnesses and stop using the cheapest wire on the market EVER, it's not like it needs to be micro fine to fit IN tools.

Hello David, Thanks for your review. We are sorry that this component did not meet your need. The wire gauge used in the harnesses is pretty much the industry standard. The reality is that these harnesses are mass-produced, and on occasion, errors can occur - this harness breakage could have occurred due to improper crimping during assembly, movement on the machine over months of use, etc. We can guarantee that probably 90% of the stepper harnesses available on Amazon are the same wire gauge, and susceptible to the same fatigue issues. We offered a replacement for $10, including shipping it via USPS with a tracking number. One of our past customers also recommended that you grab our drag chain to prevent this wiring issue from happening again. It is up to you to choose the solution that best suits your needs. We purchased a Silverback 6060 on Friday afternoon & upgraded the bed to the 1mx1m. After setting everything up we had all kinds of trouble using the laser with the Lightburn program. That evening, Jim, the fella we purchased our machine from, took time out of his evening to take a phone call from me. Jim was able to talk me through everything to get the machine up & running. The service I was provided far out cedes the satisfaction with the machine. Having customer service like that will sell your product by itself.
