I have very meaningful sessions with my therapist. At the end of our sessions, she sends me information to reinforce our sessions. This keeps my mind on the things we discussed and leads me to understanding myself and my situation.

It feels like the therapists/counselors are literally just here for a paycheck and have no knowledge or care for what they are doing. What is the point of intake forms if they are not going to be read before or at least at the beginning of the session. With two different therapists/counselors they didn’t read the forms at all and spent a quarter to half our session re-asking the same questions I had already answered. The second therapist I spoke with was ready to dismiss me after a 20 minute conversation, stating I have no history of depression or anxiety so she thinks I will be fine, I asked her if she read what I wrote in my intake form about previous history with depression she said “no”. How can you tell me I have no history when you 1.) didn’t read my history on the intake form and 2.) didn’t ASK me about my history in our chat. I would absolutely NEVER recommend anyone to come to thriveworks, anything these counselors tell you, you can find in a YouTube video, or you can hear from your friends and family. Everything about thriveworks has been a waste of my time and money.

I don’t like that I didn’t get a diagnosis and treatment plan Sessions were not structured in anyway The therapist knew that I had a background and mental health and instead of teaching me skills kept telling me I know how to deal with a narcissist if I did, I wouldn’t be in Services There are lots of assumptions made calling certain individuals that I would talk about evil or saying they never loved me, which doesn’t really help mental health if I’m significantly depressed and having unhelpful thoughts.. I was encouraged to get an eviction when I expressed that I had trouble versus somebody breaking down the pros and cons and reality checking those for me. The clinician was consistently 6+ minutes late when it got to nine past.. I reached out to Thrive Works and they told me to wait until 10 minutes so now I have to go back to my insurance to make sure that they didn’t fraudulently claim that they saw me for 90837 when it was a 90834.. There’s a big disconnect between when you call the customer service line and speaking with the therapist. I just don’t think that this is a good service since we can’t even get a diagnosis maybe my standards are a bit higher when it comes to quality of care but this did not meet the mark at all. It should not take me a month to get my diagnosis that should’ve been provided to me after I did my assessment along with my treatment plan. That’s a basic standard of therapy care.
