I almost fell out of my chair I went three weeks without a problem and then now I'm back to my weekly issues typically it's their software they're using or rather maybe it's their techs

We apologize for any outages, but they aren't weekly. I'm concerned this isn't an actual customer. Please reach out to us.

Used TherapyNotes for years, great product
I have been in private practice since 2019, previously working for someone else and now as owner of my own practice. The first practice I worked for used TherapyNotes, and I found it to be user-friendly, and it had decently reliable telehealth options (which was a big deal when the pandemic hit). When I started my own practice, I reviewed several options, but I ultimately came back to TherapyNotes.
Pros: TherapyNotes is very user friendly, and the overall setup doesn't take too many steps. They also have good customer support, and there are several helpful features that I use regularly (submits my billing, offers easy use of outcome measures to help with progress reviews and intakes, appointment reminder emails and texts for clients/patients, reliable telehealth portal, and some others). There are some others that I don't use (e.g., options for clients to manage their schedule with me, a writing assistance tool for documentation, which I used once - was surprisingly good, but I still prefer to write for myself). Perhaps my favorite feature is that it will bring information forward from different forms into notes (e.g., every progress note automatically pulls your treatment goals and interventions from your treatment plan, which makes it very easy to update progress; progress notes also pull any outcome measures you've administered, making progress over time very obvious, which helps when justifying treatment to insurance; intake notes pull information from intake forms, which allow you to use the client's own words and decreases writing time).
Cons: Price is on the more expensive side, compared to the broad range of options.

Unsolicited spam / fixed
Getting excessive amounts of spam from them to a "guessed" inbox which isn't advertised anywhere
Edit reply to reply: well, I've got about 80 emails in one of our inboxes from your sales adress, linking to your website
With the following header:
Re: Stamps.com Support Request Received: #7802156 (Ref: 4018894)
Edit2:
The emails are coming from your sales email which is listed on your contact us page
Edit3: after contact with your it department it seemed to be a 3rd party which had gotten access to send emails from your platform
Response from TherapyNotes, LLC· Feb 9, 2025
We don’t send spam ever. You are not utilizing our software so this is not a review of our product. We have nothing to do with stamps.com.
Nothing gained access to send emails from our platform. Our email support system auto-replied to a spam that we were both originally copied on. We put in a block so we won't send auto-replies in certain situations to prevent this type of issue.

Four Star Service and Software
WOW! August D was such a great help with enabling me to make the necessary changes so I could make a secondary billing submission! Her personality, focus and understanding made the difference in completing change. Also now having the ability to submit secondary billing claims - this is so efficient!
Thank You. I love Therapy Notes!

Forms are not easy for clients to…
Forms are not easy for clients to download and they are not wanting to sign them all. I called and sw Customer Support about this today. Clients expect a Docusign type format. For clients to sign, they have to:
1. Download EACH form.
2. Rename EACH form.
3. Upload EACH form
4. sign
Hope this is resolved ASAP, thank you!

In the changing world of healthcare…
In the changing world of healthcare it’s hard to keep up and having a comprehensive practice management system that helps a practitioner do so is invaluable. Therapy Notes was such a place until a few months ago when I had to update my service location. I am a Telehealth practitioner and moved to another state. Unfortunately no one in customer support understood how to handle this change. After at least 4 requests for help I realized they did not have the knowledge needed to help me and worse was they did not realize it. I’m happy to say the supervisor I spoke with was open to hearing my frustration. There will hopefully be better support when a problem cannot be resolved after two attempts and more follow up after the third and fourth attempt. I was not able successfully submit billing for months for some clients due my change of address that no knew how to change for successful billing.

The support person walked me through the process for billing insurance. Was very helpful by explaining unfamiliar words and entities.
