I contacted my agent to cancel both of my Safeco policies because I was switching to a new insurance provider. A representative sent me a half-dozen cancellation documents, which I promptly signed, submitted, and received five separate confirmation emails for. Safeco processed all of those cancellations for only one of my properties. They left the second policy active, continued billing me, and sent the account to collections. Despite providing proof months ago that the property has been fully insured by my new provider since day one, they have damaged my credit score. I even called to try to pay, but their collection agency makes payment difficult since they don't take Visa CC, and it doesn't seem that they even have accurate information about which of my properties is being charged..
