Purchased after reading a review on their website saying it was effective vs train noise. There is a train track a half mile away that hoots in the middle of the night. The curtains do not dampen that noise at all. They mildly dampen other noises, but do not do anything towards the reason I purchased them. I should have done more research on reviews before committing $700. Frankly, I feel like I've been scammed.

The product arrived damaged and unusable. On the upside when I reported the problem it was resolved within a day.

They tell you to measure door and add specified inches to width and height. This doesn’t take into account a door handle thus cannot make a tight seal to keep noise out. Second time trying this time second time unhappy. Not the answer to soundproofing at all

Inner layer breaking down after only a few years. Velcro also worn out and doesn’t seal adequately.

The curtain does not performed as advertised. The noise reduction effect is minimum. Customer service did not follow up my questions until I emailed them the second time. Even then not all my concerns were addressed. The curtain can be functional as a blackout or thermal curtain, but not so much as an acoustic curtain.

I was excited for this product. Buy it if the only thing you care about is blocking light. If there is any difference in how they block street noise is not significant enough to improve your sleep quality. I'm still waking up at 5:30AM together with the traffic. At least they look nice :) I'd hate taking them off after making all those holes in my window frame. My experience makes me question the origin of the reviews on this site, but oh well.

Hello Janusz, That's unfortunate that you're not hearing a significant reduction in the traffic sounds at your location, please make sure you're using the attached velcro to seal your curtain to the wall to block the maximum amount of sound waves. The closer you can get your curtain to the wall the or window casing the better. Our products have been tested over a wide range of frequencies and have been proven to deflect and muffle traffic sounds but it will not block 100% of the noise, especially if physical vibrations from engines or loud bass enter your home.

Terrible communication, took over a month to get the product, and the instructions leave much to be desired.

I ordered a large window covering and it only had two support straps for the entire length; even though it is 6 1/2 ft wide. Can't roll it up adequately; takes two people to do it and even when we can get it rolled up, it sags since it only has two straps. Made comments to them and they said that I could send it back for additional straps etc, at my expense. Also doesn't dampen the sound as drastically as the video. Video shows very thick material and the actual material is not that thick.

Hi NC, All of our products are made with the same material. For very large curtains, we use a slightly thinner interior core that reduces the noise-blocking by 15%, but reduces the weight by 33%. We’ve found that this is the optimal trade-off for customers that want to open and close their curtain, while still blocking the vast majority of outside noise. The best solution for larger windows is the AcoustiTrac if you want to open and close it regularly. The large AcoustiCurtain is a good option if you want to permanently, or semi-permanently, eliminated a noisy window. I apologize if sizing and weight was unclear on the website.
