Ra Optics began with a personal mission: to transform health by understanding light's profound impact on human biology. In 2007, founder Matt Maruca faced debilitating health challenges that conventional medicine couldn't resolve. After years of searching through diets, supplements, and treatments, he discovered something revolutionary-the critical role light plays in every aspect of our health. This revelation led to a decade of deep research into photobiology, circadian rhythms, and the effects of artificial light on human wellness. Frustrated by the lack of scientifically-backed, premium blue light protection available, Matt created his own solution.By 2017, Ra Optics launched as the world's first truly premium, science-based blue light protection eyewear—setting a new standard for how we interact with light in the modern world. What started as one person's health journey has evolved into a movement, helping 100,000+ customers worldwide reclaim their health and unlock their unlimited potential through The Science of Light.

These light bulbs create a beautiful balance of natural daylight and warm candle-like ambiance, making the space vibrant and cozy.

Hi Aleta, vibrant and cozy at once: that balance is exactly what Lumios was designed to create. So glad it is coming through in your space. Thank you for sharing. — the Ra Optics team

They are okay but not as good as suggested! They don't stay on well, I had to place rubber O rings on the hinges and that is a bit of a pain. Feel like they are over priced and with the issues therefore not worth the cost. Sorry just letting you know the truth. At this cost and value I would not suggest to others. Wish my experience was better. Regards RC

I bought the yellow and the orange glasses. They were a great support to getting my circadian rhythm going consistently. I use them every day. I have stayed on the mailing list because I appreciate the education and podcasts you offer related to light. thanks so much.

Hi Elizabeth, daily use across both lenses, and staying connected for the education and podcasts: that is exactly the relationship with light we hope our customers develop. Thank you for the kind words, and for being part of the community. — the Ra Optics team

Best products and great customer service! I had some issues with the frame and they took it seriously. I bought two pair of glasses (office and home) and they improved my life tremendously! Thank you ❤️

Hi P., two pairs, one for the office and one for home: you have built the right setup. We are glad the frame issue was handled the way it should have been, and even more glad to hear the glasses have made a genuine difference. Thank you for the love. — the Ra Optics team

I’ve been a loyal RA Optics customer since my very first order (#1202) back on April 2, 2019. Over the years I’ve purchased six pairs of their blue-light-blocking glasses for myself and my family — they’re simply the best. The quality, comfort, and how much they’ve helped our sleep and eye health is unmatched. Recently I had a total user-error moment — I accidentally left my favorite red-lens Popp sunset pair in a shirt pocket that went through the wash and dryer. I reached out to customer service fully expecting nothing, but I was blown away by their response. Jacqueline (Chief of Staff) personally replied, thanked me for my loyalty, and kindly offered a one-time courtesy replacement even though it was clearly outside of warranty. She was professional, compassionate, and made me feel truly valued. RA Optics isn’t just selling glasses — they’re a Southern California company that actually cares about their customers. Jacqueline’s quick and generous help turned a disappointing situation into one that makes me even more loyal. If you’re looking for top-tier blue-light glasses and incredible service, look no further. I can’t recommend them highly enough! Thank you Jacqueline and the entire RA Optics team — you’ve earned a customer for life! — RWC

Hi Robert, This truly means so much to read. It was an honor to help, and honestly, with loyalty like yours going all the way back to order #1202, taking care of you was the easiest decision I've made. Seven years, six pairs, and your whole family — that's everything we work for at Ra Optics. I'm glad we could turn a frustrating moment into something that reflects what this brand is really about. Thank you for trusting us and for sharing your experience so generously. We'll see you for many more orders to come. — Jacqueline

In a nutshell... Cheap Chinese glasses with flaws. Stay away especially if you are not from the USA and you have to pay due and tax on top of it. RA Optics handles that too but they probably scam on that as well... If you are from USA you can try it for yourself as it should be easy to return them if you are not satisfied. I bought 4 glasses total. 2 yellow/daylight Maxwell came fine although made in China and super cheap plastic... other 2 Sunset Maxwell had flaws = black dust/spots/specs imbedded inside the lenses=permanent They have sent me 2 more glasses with other problems even though I have asked specifically to inspect them thoroughly before shipping... absolutely pathetic... - black specs/dots inside the lenses = permanent - burnt plastic (temple arm) - random paint blobs - chipped plastic (frames) - unfinished/scraped plastic in some places Everything screams the opposite of what they say on their site... Consider yourself warned. There is a full story on reddit. I'm using the same name across the internet/ -- tgchan.com

I spent lots of $$ in Ra bundle glasses only to hear from my neurologist - once I got 0 results - brains do just fine with plastic colored glasses from Amazon. I’m most miserable with the blue glasses called pop cause the frames are really heavy but I lost the 30 day return window. They write all over satisfaction guaranteed but …..

Sharing my experience with Ra Optics... Between the quality, customer service and overall vibe of this brand, I'm a huge fan. Met the owner and the team at the Health Optimisation Summit in Austin last year. They shared about their scientific advisor who rigorously tests these to ensure the lenses are the best on the market. Overall, I feel great when I wear these every day. My Oura Ring sleep score improved dramatically. Averaging 90+ now!
