Beware of Customs charges and factor into your costs

I ordered the maximum amount of Phenocal capsules for delivery to UK. I received a customs and vat charge from Royal Mail for the package. I had to pay 29% of the total cost of the order to UK revenue so as to get the product. Just be aware that your package will be checked by Border Patrol, your package stopped and you will be liable for any charges. The Phenocal store T&C's state that the buyer is responsible for local taxes. Phenocal Store will stand behind their T&C's which is on their website but you must check these out. I would have ordered a smaller amount which would possibly come in at the lower threshold levels for UK revenue. I was disappointed with the fact that this condition was not more visible on their website. Lessons learnt for me. Hopefully for you also. The buyer will need to factor in this additional cost when ordering their product to the UK.

Unfortunately some countries charge additional fees on certain products when importing them. A full summary of our international policy is as follows: International Orders International Orders are shipped via USPS Global Priority Mail. The shipping charge will appear in your shopping cart as you finalize your order BUT before your credit card is charged so you can review this amount. Upon shipment of your order, you will be emailed a shipment confirmation so you can confirm that your order has shipped. The Buyer is responsible for all taxes, duties, tariffs and customs laws in Buyer's country (see additional restrictions below). Please note: Customs has the authority to hold and process a package for up to 4 weeks. iHealth Fulfillment will NOT consider a package “lost in transit” until this time has lapsed. iHealth Fulfillment will not, and cannot, be responsible for the policies and procedures of the Customs Department of any country. International Shipping Restrictions: 1) We cannot be responsible for any tariffs, customs restrictions or other regulations that apply in countries outside the United States.
