Had an appointment with Rochelle Smith. She called and without any pleasantries, went right into “concerns” about what I wrote about my English Mastiff. He’s a gentle giant and very shy. He my emotional support at home and I have a 2nd dog I take out in public. Because Henry is strong and will try to hide behind me if a stranger approaches. She said she can’t certify him at all because he may bite someone. I said he’s never done that and is the sweetest dog. She said any dog cornered can bite. Then I said how can she certify any dog then? Making assumptions about my dog. This is an ESA. He helps me sleep and he’s so gentle I can use him as a pillow. I asked for a refund and she didn’t apologize, say anything nice, no personality what so ever. Terrible.

Wish I read up on reviews. So I asked for a refund because I basically got screwed over due to misinformation about California. Even though I said I would be moving to Nevada soon. They tell me I should be fine because it works in all states after I get it. But now I am hearing I’m waiting 30 days to at least get the process done. And then when I asked to get a refund they tell me there has been only one time they have even given refunds so they rather me to wait to get a place and then to have me qualify for a Nevada one. How am I suppose to get housing if I’m waiting for this dam letter for my dog. Scam and useless. Wish I didn’t look up online to see what was the most reputable ESA certification because I got screwed.

Pettables customer service was so helpful, compassionate, and fast! I really appreciated all of the assistance they provided when I was confused about what I needed. They also honored their guarantee, I would totally recommend to a friend who is in need.

While customer service was responsive and pleasant, the therapist was not responsive. Never replied to my messages, missed our appointment (they charge customers $30 to reschedule but refused to reimburse my time for the therapist ghosting ), and then didn’t fill out the form I requested while on the phone with the rescheduled tour (that I asked NOT be scheduled before 7pm and sure enough, it was…) Support was nice and responsive but refused to offer anything for my time wasted. Thank goodness I didn’t need the paperwork asap. However, once I did get on the phone with the therapist, it was easy and quick. They were also kind and empathetic. Their website once signed up is also very easy to use. But worth the $200 I spent? (They charge $30 for additional documents signed, which is no biggie but with the service I receive?…)… not sure. Also a little fishy I can’t leave a review on the sites with all the 5 star ratings and they removed ratings from their Facebook.. unless my phone is glitching.

If there's an iota of a chance that you might not need their services because you are able to secure a residence without an ESA letter, don't go through the process of signing up with Pettable. Their personnel put me through hell for a partial refund, and wouldn't honor their request to refund my payment (minus a $30 administrative fee), until I threatened legal action and filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I was very skeptical about Pettable because I didn't see reviews on a lot of different websites such as here on Trustpilot. I was very pleased to be connected with a doctor who was, in fact, a licensed mental health professional in my state and they fulfilled their end of our agreement by helping me with an ESA recommendation within 2 days of my consultation. As long as you have a legitimate need for an emotional support animal I would highly recommend Pettable as the service was quick and easy, and the doctors are for sure licensed. A quick search of any of the staff members from Pettable on LinkedIn was what I used to verify the legitimacy of the founder and LMPH's they have on hand, and sure enough they all have a great track record.
