First of all please be assured that your necklace is made from genuine 925 silver. If you have the slightest doubt about the authenticity of the silver, we kindly request that you take it to a qualified jeweler who will confirm this. All 925 silver items tarnish naturally as they are exposed to the air and this can be accelerated as a result of contact with other substances such as creams/sprays/deodorants etc or even water. The tarnish itself is not permanent and you can use silver polish to quickly bring the necklace back to its original condition again. If you do this, please avoid getting polish on any dark areas of the pendant. These have been oxidized (blackened) on purpose to make the design stand out from the background and this cannot be darkened again if it is polished. The easiest way to do this is to place a polishing cloth on a hard surface like a table and gently run the top of the pendant over the cloth so only the surface comes into contact.
