Well, my recent experience with technical support was great as it dissolved my problem quickly. But for a Neon in general review, I would say the four stars mean it Is good. I couldn’t make it great because I find some annoying things when using it. For example, when paging through a long list of accounts to skip to the next page, it leaves you at the bottom of the next page rather than the top of the next page and then if you selected many entries to a page and are at the top of the page you need too go all the way down to the bottom to find that next page button — the next page button should be at the top and the bottom of the page or even at a point that it doesn’t scroll off when you page. There are other things like that I’ve encountered.

SO many great things about Neon. Except when things aren't great. I like the events and the unlimited accounts in the CRM. I appreciate the one-on-one training and that they are constantly improving the system. The team responds quickly and respectfully to our organization. Pulling reports can be tricky, but the experience is improving with time. One important downfall is that, as a performing arts company, we tend to have more specific ticketing and event needs to ensure our patrons and attendees have a smooth and pleasant experience. Right now, Neon doesn't have all the capabilities we need. It has so many capabilities, though; I am confident it will improve as the years move forward.

Neon has made a lot of improvements and is working well for our organization. However, it seems the price goes up every year. Since Neon is not a fully integrated platform for all of our needs, and because we don't use all of the functionality for which we are paying, we are in a spot of being satisfied with the product, but considering exploring other options due to frequent price increases. To be fair, I haven’t priced other CRM so I don’t know how Neon compares.

The system is user-friendly, and we're happy with the system and its features. The staff are very knowledgeable, easy to work with, and available for questions and are responsive. Some of the onboarding went very quickly, and there could have been a bit more how-to instruction (or videos available) for daily tasks (inputting data, configuring letters, etc.). Having input from the data specialist prior to uploading would be beneficial to discuss available downloads from previous program. The maximum of 6 data spreadsheets added some work when we initially could have done a full export from Bloomerang which included everything needed for the import. Not being aware that importing the attachments from our previous system would be an additional cost was unexpected. Making the sales team aware of that to let customers know up front would have been good.

Unfortunately while the customer service was great, I cannot run the reports I was hoping. Ty was as helpful as he could be!

The support staff that helped with our data integration is well-informed and patient. They allowed me to ask very specific and detailed questions, understanding that the state of the data is critical to the success of our overall membership program. They did their best to explain their CRM's strengths and limitations in a way that will enable us to get the most out of it once we've set a strong foundation based on established standards.

It's still early to tell, but so far I'm pleased with the system - we've run some reports, imported additional account and donation information, generated and sent letters and used the automatic emails and external email BCC. Looking forward to sending emails and exploring additional functionality of the CRM.
