GardynReviews of mygardyn.com

My Gardyn has brought me and my family so much joy and has helped us eat a lot healthier! We love looking at all the new growth everyday, and the produce tastes better than anything in the grocery store. Kelby makes the growing process so easy! The design is also wonderful, and looks great in my kitchen.

I have always aspired to be at a Monty Don level of gardening but have fallen short due to lack of time, travel, and work. The Gardyn has taught me so much about hydroponics and how to grow happy plants. It also has allowed for fewer grocery store trips, fresher ingredients, and educating our family on how to live more sustainably. I would highly recommend this to my parents, extended family, friends, and anyone interested in growing their own fresh veg! it's also a nice addition to the aesthetics of our kitchen!!

I've had my Gardyn for a little over a year now I guess and I'm still loving it! I enjoy experimenting with different plants and seeing what I can grow. It is my favorite COVID impulse buy for sure. My biggest constructive feedback is that I'd love to see more options within the monthly kelby membership. Currently you can use it to get y cubes and plant food. There are a number of additional accessories Gardyn offers that I would like to have, but I can't justify the additional expense when I'm already paying $39 a month... for example I have a stockpile of ycubes and food but could use some extra caps for empty pods... I'd love to see more options within the membership for things like that!

Just incredible! I'm a gardener who moved into a townhouse with little yard. I bought a Gardyn unit not just to have fresh veggies but also for the satisfaction that comes with growing your own food. I'm amazed at how easy it is to grow so many plants in such a small space with so little effort!

I do like this product, but it DOES NOT LAST. At not quite two years my entire system has completely broken down. I'm out 30 plants, the initial cost of the unit, and nearly two years worth of membership fees. The durability is not quality enough to warrant such a minimal amount of support.

UPDATE: I had to do all the troubleshooting which took several hours on the phone. The Gardyn IT people were unable to figure out what was wrong. They are shipping a refurbished lid which will hopefully solve the issue. At first the tech offered me a 1 mo. extension of our Kelby membership I countered with 6 mos given the time it took me to figure out what the issue was. They countered with 2, 1 of which is for returning the defective lid w/in 10 days of receipt of the replacement lid, so it really was only and additional mo. I asked for 3 which we were given. I used to work in online retail and we always went with the motto that the customer is right. Gardyn needs to improve their customer service and making customers happy. Our Gardyn worked fine for about the first 2.5 months (just after the 60 day return period) and then the lights won't turn on per the schedule. I have to manually reset the unit every day in order to turn them on. When I try and boost the lights they go off. Customer service has been unable to figure out what is wrong and escalated to IT. I have yet to hear from them. Our plants aren't doing well because they can't get enough light.

I am so happy with the Gardyn I ordered about 2 months ago. My garden has flourished with the help of Kelby’s guidance and information on how to care for the plants, nutrition and other useful info. I just moved into a new house and it makes a great decorative piece that everyone has commented on. I could not grow a successful garden outside because animals, insects and weather. Now I have garden my family uses everyday.

I’ve had my Gardyn for about four months, and it is both lush and beautiful. And delicious. I have a green-ish thumb, (I grow bonsai) but I’ve never had much luck with things like herbs and lettuces. Gardyn, while not 100% hands-off, is quite manageable for someone like me, and if you want a compact hydroponic system for your family to have access to fresh greens every other day or so, this is a good system that I would definitely recommend. The amount it produces was surprising to me. We are a family of three and usually eat something from the Gardyn in every dinner. I’m still undecided about keeping the monthly subscription now though. I do recommend it for the first few months, until you get the hang of everything, but now that I feel more confident, I’m thinking of cancelling and trying to maintain it on my own. I can always re-subscribe if I find it’s too hard! Just make sure you don’t set your Gardyn up near potted plants that have been outdoors, or near an open window, because you can get bugs. I haven’t so far, but I’ve been careful! Anyway, five stars, I do recommend!
