Today I set up my system. It was relatively easy. I am disappointed that there was no advisory about needing pod covers if I didn’t plant all of the plants in my starter kit. I also completed the first task; mostly informational and found out that I’m going to need pod caps to block light after I thin the seedlings. Two expensive purchases almost immediately. I’m hoping time will confirm that I made a good investment and that these additional purchases are worth it.

First day of setup and already spotting what is coming next, that is the mark of a great start! 🌱 We hear you on the pod caps not being flagged upfront, that is genuinely helpful feedback and something we will pass along so future Gardyners have a clearer picture from day one. We are confident this investment is going to prove itself once those first harvests start rolling in and we cannot wait to see it happen for you. Happy Gardyning! 💚

Overall, it’s a neat toy and seems to grow well. However, first impression is that 8 out of the full set of pods didn’t sprout after weeks. I was annoyed I had to spend over a hundred bucks to get their separate sprout set up because you can’t put them directly into the main system once food is added. Based on what you’re charging, any seeds purchased from you that fail should be speedily replaced at no cost.

We hear you, and 8 pods not sprouting right out of the gate is a rough first impression. Here is something that should help: any yCube showing no growth after 21 days is covered by our germination guarantee, and we will replace it at no cost, no need to return anything. If those 8 have not been replaced yet, we would love to make that happen. Reach out to us at [email protected] and our team will get you sorted right away. We appreciate you sharing this so honestly. Happy Gardyning! 🌱

My husband bought this for me a few years back and at first, it was great. I got the membership and would follow its directions if it said that it was low on water or tank refresh. However, I did not pay attention to the Kelsey tips and notifications because I did not think it mattered since I was getting notifications on the Home Screen. I noticed for the past YEAR, that nothing was growing. My husband reached out and spent almost a year trying to reach someone for me. I finally try and lo and behold, their customer service number does not even go to a person. It hangs up on you telling you to go through the app. I write a very disappointing and irritating email and get a phone call while I had a family emergency going on. The guy kept saying over and over, you didn’t pay attention to your Kelsey notifications. I hung up in more frustration than when I started trying to get this situated. Then I get an email saying the same. We canceled your membership, sucks you lost out on over a years worth of membership, make sure to order your remaining credits before you lose those too. Did not even try to refund the year that I have had nothing, no extra credits, just…. We canceled, use or lose. I do not recommend this or having to deal with their customer service.

Thank you for sharing this, Rachel and for being honest about how the whole experience felt, not just the year of lost growth, but how you were treated on that call during such a difficult time. That is not the kind of support we want anyone to receive, especially in the middle of a family emergency, and we are sorry it went that way. We hear you on the credits and membership too. A full year with nothing growing deserved more than a use it or lose it message. Our team has already reached out to you directly by phone and email, added fresh credits and complimentary membership months to make up for the lost time and shared guidance to help your Gardyn grow successfully going forward. We appreciate you taking the time to lay all of this out. Happy Gardyning! 🌱

First the Gardyn is a great product... Easy setup, amazing support. I'm 23 days into my first garden and so much is growing!! it's exciting to watch everyday... I've tried hurry up but they don't seem to listen.. LOL. Rally looking forward to the first harvest.

Twenty three days in and already watching so much come to life, how exciting! 🌱 And ha, plants really do love to grow on their own schedule, no rushing them. That first harvest will be here before you know it and it will be so worth the wait. We are so glad setup was easy and that our team has been there for you. Happy Gardyning! 💚

Gardyn responded swiftly when I reached out to report my pump had stopped working. I was able to maintain my plants with their guidance while I waited for my replacement pump to arrive. We are up and running again!

Gardyn is an incredible asset to the lives of myself and my family, including our two dogs! We engage in discussions about what seedlings to order, which lettuces we prefer, what flowers look best, etc. This is our 2nd device and I appreciate all of the improvements also!
Response from Gardyn· Sep 15, 2026
What a joy to picture your whole family, pups included, gathered around deciding which seedlings and lettuces to grow next! 💚 That is exactly the kind of connection we hope Gardyn sparks in a home. We are so grateful you added a second device to the family and that the improvements have not gone unnoticed. Here is to many more shared harvests and happy discussions ahead. Happy Gardyning! 🌱
