tools are made super cheap. i would say matco is one of the biggest rebranded tool company out there. i bought a drill bit set yesterday off the truck and the t15 "torx" bit started twisting on the first screw i tightened and this morning the tip broke off. the set was over $40. i only put on stuff like splash guards and plastic exterior trim pieces so i only give it 1 to 2 uggas with my impact driver and thats it. the fact that my hyper tough brand t15 only twisted and stripped the teeth after a course of 4 years should tell you how cheap the matco set is. i bought the matco set thinking itd be stronger only to find out its actually cheaper. t15's in general arent that strong but for the $40 set to break on day 2 is ridiculous.

Wouldnot recomend to eneyone in the trade as i have a ratchet bar with a locking swivel head and the bar has failed and they’re telling me slight ware on teath voids a warranty with the tool i have been told they will give me another barr at a cost witch doesn’t simplify the lifetime warranty they give worst people ever to deal with would give 0 stars if was available for this company

I would give them a zero star if I could. I have a box and tools financed through Matco. Recently I lost my job due to COVID related layoffs. Soon after Matco repossesses my box and tools. I figured, surely this is a mistake, I have been up to date and current on my payments for quite some time now, this has to be just some mix up. I call Matco. They say "Oh yeah, not sure why your box would have been repossessed you are up to date and current on all payments." I said, "Yes, I know." So they tell me they can release my box to me. Call the local distributor/franchisee Paul, who claims I now have to pay a $40 dollar key cutting charge plus delivery and storage. He isn't pleasant about it and I have had issues with Paul in the past, like when he tried to extort sales out of me in exchange for warrantying one of my Matco tools WHICH IS A FREE SERVICE. I digress... Matco is now refusing to cover the cost of any storage and delivery fees and the key cut charge. BUT I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING. I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG. I DIDN'T MISS A PAYMENT. THEY REPOSSESSED MY BOX FOR LITERALLY NO REASON, CAN'T EVEN TELL ME WHY THE REPOSSESSED IT, AND THEN EXPECT ME TO PAY THESE FEES. Now I can't find work because of this and they are forcing me to take legal action. All over a couple hundred bucks worth of fees they didn't feel like paying OVER THEIR OWN MISTAKE. I was a lifelong Matco customer before this, I swore by your brand. I would never recommend a box, tool, or anything to anyone from you guys EVER again simply based on principle. I'd sooner eat fecesout of a horses rectal cavity. Shame on you Matco Tools for taking advantage of people who have no choice. They're doing this because they know they can get away with it, because those tools are my livelihood and my way to make money. It's the equivalent of putting a gun to my head and asking me whether I want to pull the trigger or not. I am so disgusted with Matco Tools I will never do business with them ever again.

Great tools at great prices we always use them in our shop if you want good tools for your shop these are good for light duty work That we do here
