The 5 stars are for the customer service representative, Alyah. Contact delivery was delayed by multiple weeks with no notification from LensDirect. However, Alyah was very helpful. She was polite, professional & thoughtful. This is my first time using LensDirect I’m unsure if I’ll return.

I just sent my second pair of glasses to have new lenses put in. My local optometrist gave me a quote of over $400 to replace scratched lenses, so I thought i'd try LensDirect. They got my prescription wrong, and they re-did them perfectly- all for less than $100. It was such a positive experience that I sent them some glasses that my local optometrist would not even try to replace the lenses - they are expensive rimless glasses. LensDirect took the challenge and even called me to recommend a different lens that would work better for slightly more cost. Their customer service was prompt, friendly and thorough. Denise sent me the email about the lens upgrade and when I called back in response, she answered the phone with friendly and knowledgeable follow up. I trust my eyewear to LensDirect.

Do not order from here. They lost my favorite frames! I ordered lens replacement and mailed in my frames but instead of sending me my own glasses back they returned to me someone else's order and sent my own glasses elsewhere. The customer service people are acting as if this is no big deal at all -- so perhaps this is business as usual for them. They could have offered to refund me and to send me new frames right away but this offer was not made -- and instead they seem to expect that I should be content to wait while they may or may not recover my frames. It has been 3 days since I reported the error and no progress has been made. Meanwhile I am wearing an older prescription and beginning to feel the effects of that. I regret giving them a try. UPDATE: 18 Days later and what I find most remarkable about my experience is the total lack of interest LensDirect has had in recovering the glasses that they accidentally sent me. They should have arranged to do a FedEx pick-up but instead sought to shift the burden of correcting the error on me, asking me to print out shipping labels and take to the post office. I still have this person's frames and they haven't even bothered to reach out! They issued me a refund for my own and offered me new frames which gives some consolation but it came way late and with a great deal of disappointment about the loss of frames I would have preferred. They seem to be playing a numbers game; it's cheaper for them to solve this problem by issuing new frames than by caring about recovering the loss of yours. Beware.

Do not order from here if you need contacts in a timely manner. I ordered on December 30th, it is now January 14th and I still don’t have contacts. I was first sent the wrong contacts, I let them know and asked if they would over night my correct order and they would not. Unfortunately, will not order from here again.

I went to the same optician that I’ve been going to for years to fill a new prescription. He said he could no longer get the same frames I had and could find no others to fit my thin face. He wanted $484.00 to fit new lenses into my existing frames; however, he could fit me with frameless glasses with all the bells and whistles I’d ever need at my age (83) for around $900.00. I took a chance and sent off my old frames and my prescription to Lens Direct. Great service, prompt turn around, and only $82.00 for the same lenses my optician quoted me! They even cleaned my old frames, straightened them and sent them back to me in a really nice case. I couldn’t be more pleased.

Took a chance to have new prescription lens's put into a existing eye glass frame that I liked. LensDirect made the process easy, kept me updated on the progress of work performed, and service was fast. I could not be more satisfied, Thank You LensDirect, job well done. J Goodwin
