I couldn’t be more thankful for MIDI
I went to my gynecologist office to address my perimenopause symptoms (at the time it was heavier periods than normal, night sweats were starting, and I was having a lot of brain fog). I had considered that maybe I was in perimenopause but it wasn’t confirmed. I was 46. My gynecologist said “let’s get a pregnancy test,” despite the fact that my tubal ligation had been iron clad working for 15 years. I gave up after that, fast forward two years. I was so discouraged because my symptoms kept getting worse, and hot flashes started, while night sweats and my brain fog/forgetfulness also got worse among other symptoms such as itchy ears, itchy skin, vaginal dryness, irritability, you name it.. I’m a very busy teacher mom and I was dreading having to go back to the gynecologist in person, just to be told again, that I’m not ready for HRT because I still have a period. I knew that was absolutely wrong so I finally tried MIDI. My best friend told me about MIDI and one of the most reassuring things about trying MIDI was that they took my medical insurance AND I could see a doctor/clinician virtually. I had my appointment on my lunch break two days ago. I was listened to! What a relief. She told me I am not alone in my past experiences with other doctors gas- lighting me. I was prescribed HRT for my many symptoms and am looking forward to feeling relief once I get into a routine. I felt validated and will now have relief. I couldn’t be more thankful for MIDI!
