Deceptive Business Practices. DO NOT USE
I was given a 6 week Free trial. Two weeks into my 6 week Free trial Hear.com submitted a claim to my insurance company for $2500, the amount my insurance company will cover for hearing aids. Also 2 weeks into my 6 week trial Hear.com charged my credit card for $4500, the full amount of the cost of my hearing aids. One week later I terminated my 6 week free trial and returned the hearing aids to the provider. I made an appointment at another provider for new hearing aids. When that provider called my insurance company for prior approval for me to purchase hearing aids they were told I already had a claim submitted a month prior. I called Hear.com and was told they have a record that I terminated my free trial and returned my hearing aids. I was told their insurance team would contact my insurance company to void their claim. Less than a week after that I discovered the $4500 charge to my credit card that Hear.com made during my Free Trial period. Ihave tried to reach Hear.com by phone and have left messages. They have not returned my call. I am going to report my experience to Better Business bureau and will contact an attorney to get my money back.
