Amazing course. What speaks to the simplicity is that I was able to pass my private pilot written test at 15 years old after taking their course. It lacks depth in a few subjects, like weather theory, but overall is very entertaining and easy to learn.

I used Gold Seal for my private pilot certificate and finally jumping into instruments. I did another ground school for my Part 107 training, but wanted something better for private pilot. After looking at a number of other ground schools I chose Gold Seal because of the interactive elements and the production quality. I got a 95 on the private pilot written test and earned my certificate around 53 logged hours (the typical average is somewhere around 65). My instructor was also able to follow my progress with his own Gold Seal instructor account which allowed us to fly more and review less.

The Ground School videos and content were well done. They simplified complicated topics. I passed my FAA written test on the first try with a good score. Well worth the price! I paid for lifetime access so I can keep coming back to refresh. They update content frequently, which is very important. Great product!

This course was easy to navigate and follow along with the basic topics. However, the sections on Density, VOR, Performance Charts and Navigation left a lot to be desired. I actually found myself turning to YouTube videos to get through those sections for more extensive explanations. I ended up paying for an additional 2-day local in-person ground school test prep just so I could have the knowledge to even finish this course and be ready for the FAA exam.

I took the online instrument ground course and found it very enjoyable. I used King Schools for private and it worked well but was a little outdated. I also did a trail period from MzeroA for instrument and wasn’t a huge fan. I then decided to use Gold Seal for instrument and was not disappointed. The lessons were very informative and easy to listen to. After finishing the course I scored in the mid 90s on my IRA and CFII written tests. I would highly recommend Gold Seal.

I tried multiple ground schools and Gold Seal was definitely the best. It’s interactive, and enjoyable to watch! Russel has put a lot of time and effort into making this program top notch! I recommend it to everyone!
