My first and last ride with Curb. They took extra fees for the ride as well as a tip which I didn’t permit. I went on the app after my drop off to check the payment and pay a tip I can afford and was surprised that they charged me $10 extra ! Unbelievable.

I took a Curb cab on the corner of Lexington Avenue and 96th Street in Manhattan at 3:17 PM, ON Thursday, May 11th. The ride ended at 3:29 PM, the length of the journey was 0.83 miles and took 12 minutes. The legitimate fare for cabs in NYC is an initial $3.00 with 70 cents for each additional 1/5 (one-fifth) of a mile. The receipt I got was for an INITIAL FARE fo $12.10. I emailed to the company to dispute the amount. They said that was the correct fare, which it clearly was not.

Took a Curb ride in Dallas, TX. Paid by mastercard - or did I? Driver told me payment hadn't gone thru so I then paid him cash. Yes, reader, I paid him twice. On the return trip I told him the first charge had hit my card and he told me I'd need to contact Curb so I did. However just like their driver they won't take responsibility but have told me to contact card issuer. How is the onus all on me to resolve this? Massively poor customer service. Should have read the above reviews before going near this company.

This was a yellow cab in NYC. The receipt shows this as "curb". Charged me 380.00 for 44 miles. from JFK to 08810 (New Jersey). When got to destination driver said all costs outside NYC are doubled. He did not tell me that when I got into the cab and I often take cabs from JFK. This was wrong. Take an Uber don't trust yellow cabs.

This is the worst taxi service ever! I was charged $300 for a journey from JFK airport to Springhill Suites, Marriott, White Plains NY. I am visiting from the UK. Imagine my shock and disappointment when we arrived at my destination and the price was $255.96. At the start of the journey, the driver had to phone someone for information on how to reach my destination. Surely he should have had correct equipment or map to plot a journey. The driver asked for a tip as he would be driving back to the airport empty. The cheapest tip was $50! TOTAL FARE $300, Unbelievable! I am so frustrated that this taxi fare was over half the cost of my airline return ticket from the UK. My flight was 7 hours. The taxi journey was 63 minutes. Using Curb is a total rip off. I was told that the journey would be 80-100 dollars that’s the reason I chose them. In hindsight I should’ve not touched them with a barge pole. I feel so cheated. This was not a good experience for someone visiting the USA. I appreciate that times are hard and there’s a high cost of living but this was too much. I felt scammed. I can provide pictures of the metre pricing and my receipt. Awful experience. Do not use Curb!

Horrible!! Dropped off at the wrong destination. Driver argued that his maps told him it was the address, meanwhile looking at his screen, & showing him it on my phone it was the wrong address. He insisted it was right. He could not speak English, now I’m In dispute. Emailed curb immediately, they offered me my tip back!! I screenshot the drop off point for proof. Waiting on CC dispute. Curb denied my dispute.

This is an extremely misleading app. I used Curb for the first time yesterday. When I booked my ride the cost was shown as $19.00 and it’s temporary hold, was put on my card to secure that amount. When I got my receipt at the end of the ride, the final cost was $29.00! The base price was almost $20.42, not $19.00. Then there were taxes and fees, including a $1.00 fee to use the app (an “improvement surcharge”), totaling $4.00. Finally, my 20% tip was based on the final cost, including the $4.00 in taxes and fees, rather than the base cost. So it ended up costing significantly more than I thought it would be. They need to be a lot more transparent in their pricing structure.

The must unreliable company. I made an appointment for my mom who is in a wheelchair after a stroke. I coordinated her dental appointment with pickup from your company, didn't show up, excuse after excuse, had to cancel her dental appointment and I cancelled your appointment. Irresponsible on your part with horrible attitudes on your customer service. Hopefully you go out of business soon.
