The ease of ordering, the "better" ingredient's and the fact that is fresher than dry dog food - the biggest plus that they like it.

For the first time in five years he gets excited at meal time. I bought him a slo-mo food bowl to stop him from gulping it down

He really likes the food but it seems to make him very thirsty
Response from Freshpet· Aug 28, 2026
Hi Julie, thank you for sharing your feedback with us and that your pup enjoys our recipes. Most dogs are able to meet their hydration requirements from Freshpet alone, so we're sorry to hear that it seems to be making him more thirsty. We recommend consulting your veterinarian, as they'd know your pup's health history best. Please feel free to let us know if you need any additional assistance. We're here to help.
