I reached out to Fandango customer service about a old gift card I had and they were able to help me out, overall the customer service was a little frustrating at first but in the end, I am satisfied.

Fandango has always been a go to site for overpriced movie tickets, recently they became affiliated with Smarty which is a totally predatory scam site!! You get movie tickets with an offer for fifteen bucks back!!! It’s a SCAM you get the cash back, but also unknowingly sign up for a monthly subscription that costs 19!! It’s easy to cancel, unless you’re an older person who isn’t tech savvy and just wanted to take a grandkid to the movies.. don’t use smarty! If fandango keeps affiliated with them I will do whatever I can to spread the news they prey on old folks.

I like fandango as place to check what are current movies and watch the trailers, Never, ever use Fandango. I spent almost an hour trying to get their gift card to work. It didn't. So I spent almost another hour chatting with Fandango. So I bought their gift card. Never, ever buy their gift card. I spent almost an hour trying to get their gift card to work. It didn't. So I spent almost another hour chatting with Fandango with no success.

Tickets didn’t even allow me to view them? HAD to be printed? How does this have any practicality?

Their "return" policy is a sham and rip off. I hope I am wrong. After buying 4 tix as a Xmas present for my wife, her daughter and 2 grand children, we had to miss the showing of Mary Poppins because one of the kids was throwing up (stomach virus) and too late to cancel "before showtime." When my wife called to cancel an hour before show time she was put on hold right up to show time. TOO LATE!! We are retired and on fixed income and could not enjoy the recent Trump tax bill for the rich. The $38 we lost really hurt us financially and of course there is no credit policy and if you try to plead your case "NO EXCEPTIONS" tough luck. An act of God will not get you a refund or credit. The complaints are sad if not tragically comical. Hope they go out of business. Buy tickets in advance thru your theater. Happy Holidays. Jeff
