Only order if you have PLENTY OF TIME to wait

To be honest, I completely lost trust in this company and would not in good conscience recommend them ever. EVER. Buyer beware. I placed my order for five pieces on Aug 25 and was shown an expected delivery date to my Oregon location of Sep 1. When my order was still listed as “preparing to ship” on Sep 3, I dropped a status check message to customer service. Chloe (based on reviews, she seems to be their only agent — or a fake name used by everyone on the team) reached out to say that they “typically process and ship orders within 2-3 business days” but a recent transition to a new warehouse had “affected a few orders and temporarily paused shipments.” She assured me that shipping would resume the next week. The middle of the next week, my order was still “preparing,” so I followed up. This time, I was told that shipping had resumed but “due to the volume of orders built up during our warehouse transition,” the team was having to work through a backlog — which meant they were unable to guarantee an exact ship or delivery date, so they offered a courtesy 10% discount on the order for the inconvenience. On Sep 15, when my order STILL listed as “preparing to ship,” I got frustrated, mainly because the website was showing all of the items as IN STOCK and indicated that the estimated delivery date would be EXACTLY 1 WEEK from the current date. I’d been waiting three, they claimed to be experiencing logistics issues that they knew were impacting fulfillment and delivery yet they hadn’t bothered to update promised delivery timelines for new orders. I got an almost immediate response, explaining that “some of our inventory is still in the process of transferring to the new location.” When I finally decided to ask to have part of the order cancelled, I got a response from Chloe saying that she had followed up with the warehouse team (why hadn’t this already happened?) and was told that two items on my order were currently on backorder, which was why my order was being held up. BOTH of those items were still listed as IN STOCK with one-week expected delivery dates. This was when I finally decided I’d be taking my business elsewhere and requested they cancel my order and issue me a full refund. If Elegatto isn’t intentionally misleading or scamming people, they are REALLY lacking in their ability to convey this to customers and EXTREMELY bad at managing the basic operation of their business.

We completely understand why the delays, repeated follow-ups, and inaccurate stock messaging on our website shattered your trust in us. While transitioning our fulfillment centers was intended to improve our service, it clearly created unexpected backlog and stock discrepancies that severely impacted your order, as well as the clarity of the updates we provided. You deserved accurate timelines and proactive communication from the start, and we fell short of those standards. We completely respect your decision to cancel your order for a full refund, and your feedback regarding inventory status updates on our site has been passed directly to our operations team to ensure this does not happen again. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience and frustration this caused you, and we thank you for your candid feedback as we work to rebuild our processes.
