I have been trying to get warranty work…
I have been trying to get warranty work done for months and have been basically ignored. D R Horton is a cheap builder that does not respond to its buyers!

They have rough, jagged 3 inch lip going from street to driveway and again driveway to garage. They don't give it a smooth finish or incline. This is not only hard on tires but a major trip hazard. They deserve to be sued! On top of this, very sloppy and embarrassing construction. Cheap and sloppy!

Hi, I cancelled 1 Zinnia Ct. , Palm Coast about a month ago due to timing changes on when I could move in. As of today, I did not receive my $1500 deposit. We needed a reliable date. I am 73 years old and need stability. I am a disabled Vietnam combat vet. This action is not favorable to DR Horton's public image. Sadly I had been living in a (35 Palermo Lane) DR Horton home and enjoyed it. We wanted a larger house. Please refund my deposit. If I need to go public, I will with a letter to the Palm Coast Observer. DR Horton has refunded in the past. This action is a double standard. Please do the right thing so that I can once again have a positive image. Is it worth $1500 for negative publicity? DR Horton sells plenty of homes in Palm Coast which is flooded with vets Your call, Daniel Finn 407 690 3420

Please don’t buy from this company. They don’t respond they ignore and they don’t finish what they promised to do. They donot honor the contract and warranty means nothing to them. They are evil people and the state of Florida does not do anything.

Good bye D.R Horton. I decided to buy a second home with this builder but the experience was horrible. This company uses the cheapest products possible. The workmanship leaves a lot to be desired. Am aware that I am just one person and whether I buy from you or not is negligible to your profits, but am not trading with D.R Horton again. I am a very disappointed and unsatisfied customer, your services and goods are wanting.

Please think twice about buying a DR Horton home. So many misguided truths and no follow up. Oh they say they will follow up but in reality it’s a fight all the way. I moved into my home in June of 2019. In just three years I had to replace my roof which is now noted was not under code. There was even plywood not nailed down once the old shingles were removed. Shingles were the lowest grade possible and I kept losing shingles after just a bad storm. My home would never have made it through a hurricane. Insurance companies should begin to question this negligence. That’s only the beginning of all the issues but the roof is the most recent. Love the layout of my home but there are many ways it was built the cheapest way possible.

Do not buy from this builder. They are nonresponsive to the plethora of issues you will find with their homes, their workers, building code violations, garbage all over the property, bug infestations, horrible warranty dept., floods, leaks, touch up paint that doesn't match, their management company who is deep in their pockets who takes their side on every matter, streetlights that haven't worked properly still since March, nails you have to avoid stepping on strewn all over the sidewalks so you don't puncture your shoe/foot - you can't make this stuff up. I can't stress to you how far you should distance yourself from them unless you want to live in a nightmare.

What kind of company sends representatives to inspect workmanship of a home and the reps don’t physically inspect anything? We sent in a request for warranty work due to water coming in from the roof during Hurricane Ian. We visually inspected the roof after the hurricane and noticed no damage attributed to the hurricane. So one would deduce that if no damage, the leak has to be attributed to poor workmanship or at the very least the company would want to prove that it wasn’t due to poor workmanship. But no, we were told that they don’t have the manpower to be able to survey if the leaks was due to poor workmanship or the hurricane… what they said it was “directional rain” what kind of BS is that? My neighbor has same pitch of roof and vents in the same place as our house was also built by the same builder and they had zero leaks of water come thru, but ours did due to “directional rain”? This is a lousy company with lousy people representing It!
