We wonder why we didn’t get this stairlift sooner. It has made our lives so much easier, since we have a two-story home and not much limb flexibility. We used to dread going to the second floor to find items we needed. Now, it’s no problem to do this multiple times a day. Joanne and Paul Daprile

Overall, I would say that the stairlift works quite well. It moves very smoothly up and down and works well with the remote or the toggle switch which is located on the arm of the chair. The 4 star rating is due to a safety issue: my mother has accidently pushed the toggle switch several times as she is trying to get off the chair. The location of the switch is such that when she pushes up to rise from the chair her fingers come into contact with the switch and the chair has begun to move as she is trying to get off. She has also accidently come into contact with the switch as she is backing into the chair to sit on it. I believe the location of the toggle switch needs to be changed.

Installation was quick (2 stairwells) and well done. Lifts operate very well. We're pleased.

Our chair sometimes gets stuck at the top of the staircase and won't move down the track unless someone adjusts it. Also, it is sluggish at times when it is activated.

I had a lift for between floors inside my house and it worked so well that I added another on a shorter flight of stairs in my garage. I’ve had the inside lift for about nine months with only one intermittent issue that was resolved quickly by a technician and has worked flawlessly since. I’ve had the second for about four months without issue.
