Hi, we understand your frustration and the situation you described. However, we would like to clarify that the transmission was purchased at the beginning of April, and the warranty provided was for 3 months. If you experienced any issues with the transmission or torque converter, those concerns needed to be reported to us within the 3-month warranty period so we could review the issue and determine the appropriate warranty assistance. Unfortunately, it has now been approximately 5 months since the purchase, which is beyond the stated warranty period. While we understand that installation and diagnostic work can take additional time, the warranty period is based on the purchase date. We also understand that you purchased a replacement torque converter and had the transmission removed multiple times. However, since we were not notified of a transmission or torque converter problem within the warranty period, we are unable to provide warranty coverage at this point. We always encourage customers to contact us as soon as any issue arises so we have the opportunity to assist while the warranty is still active.

Based on the VIN you provided, your vehicle is equipped with an automatic CVT transmission (RE0F11A). However, the transmission ordered through our website was for a 5-speed manual transmission (RS5F91R). As part of our quality control process, we do not ship parts that we know are incompatible with a customer’s vehicle. When we contacted you to explain the discrepancy, we offered the correct transmission that matched your VIN. The price difference was due to the correct unit being a different transmission than the one originally ordered. During our conversation, you requested that the order be canceled. At no point during that discussion were we informed that this was for a project car or that you intentionally wanted the manual transmission regardless of your VIN. Had you informed us of that, we could have discussed your requirements and fulfilled the order according to your request. As this is a used OEM engine that is approximately 10 years old, some cosmetic wear, surface rust, carbon deposits, and signs of normal use are to be expected. These cosmetic conditions do not necessarily reflect the mechanical condition or mileage of the engine. All of our used engines are inspected and tested before being offered for sale. Although cosmetic appearance is not covered under our warranty, we understand your concerns and have worked with you to resolve the matter. We have already scheduled the return of the engine, and once it is received and inspected, we will proceed with the agreed refund or replacement. The replacement unit sent to you left our facility in proper condition. The issues reported—such as damage to the oil pan, wiring harness, and dipstick—are consistent with handling or transit-related damage rather than the condition at dispatch. Additionally, used engines are generally sold as long blocks unless otherwise specified. Components such as turbochargers, flywheels, and other external accessories are not guaranteed to be included unless clearly agreed upon at the time of purchase. In terms of resolution, we have already offered a replacement unit in accordance with our warranty policy. As per standard procedure, the return of the current unit is required so it can be inspected before proceeding further. Return shipping reimbursement is processed after verification, which is a common industry practice.
