Atmosphere has a brilliant professional at every stage of publishing a book. I’m surprised they didn’t send someone down here to comb my hair for my photo! I already have the galley to my March-launch book. I’m hog-tying myself to keep me from running around the city waving it at booksellers. It’s my final book in a long career of writing literary fiction: way to go!

As I first-time author, I appreciated the friendly and detailed emails. I'd had a developmental edit before going to Atmosphere, but their editor enhanced my book. They were interested in the manuscript and we had excellent discussions. The art team provided excellent instructions and we worked together to produce a great cover. When I got to the marketing team, I was blown away by their insights into my work. From start to end, a five-star experience.

They took some of the most frustrating and technical tasks off my plate so I could focus on the creative work. It’s important to note that Atmosphere is not a “publish your book in a month” service. They are a true hybrid publisher. I worked with them for about a year and a half on my first book, and that time was spent ensuring the final product was something I could be genuinely proud of. They care deeply about the quality of what goes out into the world. My experience was so positive that I’ve already signed on to publish the second book in my series with Atmosphere. For authors who are serious about their work—especially those writing outside the mainstream—Atmosphere Press is professional, supportive, and deeply invested in helping you put out the best book possible.
