Appfolio is a magnificent application. I use it at the office and on the road, never fails and gives me all the reports I need. Only one small detail, as I use many devices, the app is always telling me it doesn't recognize the device. i wish there was a way where I could put the info of all my devices in so I wouldn't have to go through this procedure. Thanks, Mario Horowitz

AppFolio is great! One of the things I like best about AppFolio in comparison to other software companies is their customer service. If you have an issue, it is handled quickly and there isn't an additional fee for customer service.

Appfolio provides an irreplaceable software & cloud service for our property investment and management company. Their customer service team is very accessible and helpful as well. My one suggestion would be to have assigned users be notified when there is a note added to a tenant page, unit page etc by an employee - this way everyone is kept in the loop. Also, it would be good if you can add a To Do list feature by property, like Asana...that can help with scheduling and planning maintenance, repairs and improvements.

You really need to work on your permissions. Your permissions are designed for large companies. My company has 3 employees and they all have access to my bank info and all of them can lock me out of the system at any time. This has always bothered me. When i first signed up i was told by the Appfolio rep everyone would be given the "President" role. You have lumped sensitive functions in with everyday functions. Users need the ability turn on and off functions with the groups. Provide the ability to require full payment by property. Currently it is all properties or none. That grossly lacks flexibility. Otherwise I am very happy with Appfolio.

This is a great property management software. We had looked at several software systems prior to deciding to go with Appfolio. Although none of them were perfect, Appfolio offered us the most for our money. We have a mixed portfolio of Residential Multi-Family, Commercial, and HOA properties that we manage. With HOA Management, it is so different from the rentals that we were concerned that Appfolio could not handle it. Although it is not perfect, this is an area where Appfolio has put a lot of time and effort into improving over the past couple of years and it shows. We like how they take suggestions and include those who want to be involved in making some of their changes. I have been involved with the programmers and developers on projects and have been able to provide information from my experiences to help the team understand what many of us were looking for. I did mark them down 1 star on how long it can take for them to make changes. I see many suggestions by other users that are great suggestions but they appear not to take them seriously and/or not at all even though they get many people commenting on them as a great suggestion. We really that they push out updates very regularly. Our team looks forward to logging into the system and seeing "What's New" on their dashboard. It is nice how they show the new releases and give a summary of what you can look for and how to use the update. They also offer us a way to comment on the update and if we like it or not. The support is the best that we have experienced with software companies. Appfolio assigned a dedicated team that we work with and they are very responsive and great to work with. They have, over time learned how we use the system and can address any questions or problems we encounter timely. The software has come a long way since i first started using it over 5 years ago. I look forward to seeing where this software will be in the next 5 years.

We moved from Yardi to AppFolio 1/1/18 and never looked back. It is so user friendly, we use all the reports, do our credit reports through AppFolio, pay/ACH owners & vendors, post vacancies online and on our website, make marketing flyers all with one click! The tenants & owners like (and use) their online portals. I use the letters, leases and inspection templates - all were easy to customize to fit our needs. The online help menu with blogs, videos, FAQs and live online training seminars is light years above what Yardi offered. I LOVE the unlimited and awesome customer support. They are helpful, knowledgeable and just all around wonderful! I have recommended AppFolio so many times already. Voting on functionality we want, then programmers actually making it happen is just - wow what a concept. So happy! Thank you AppFolio!
