Best Alternative to teamviewer

I'm experiencing a lot of issues with remote mouse pointer.
I'm experiencing a lot of issues with the remote mouse pointer; often, I can't see it because it turns completely black with thin lines, blending in with elements on the remote screen. It's very complicated to work remotely with this seemingly minor problem, but it greatly affects my experience as it significantly increases my work time.
