Amigo U.S.Reviews of amigo-us.com

Have used Amigo US when on vacation in Israel and for children while studying there. Also while on vacation in Europe. All several times and each time was pleased with the service. Thank you.

Very easy to use as if it was your regular phone service.

I recently traveled to Israel to meet my son and his family. I knew it would be expensive to use my IPhone over there and my son would have to purchase a SIM card. Instead, at the last minute I ordered 3 Amigo phones so we could all easily communicate and if necessary, get back in touch with the states. The customer service staff were wonderful in terms of explaining the options and making cost effective recommendations and the phones arrived in no time. The instructions on usage were simple and clear...couldn't have been any easier. I've never used them in other parts of the world but I would definitely rent from them again in the future.

We didn't end up using the phone at all. We borrowed a basic "dumb" cell phone for our trip, which was enough. I thought the Amigo phone would be a good second phone. But I'm not good with technology, and had difficulty following the instructions. I could have called the support help line, but in the end it wasn't worth it...Didn't really need all the features. But delivery and return procedure were smooth, and the phone and accessories looked brand new.

I found the process of picking up the phone and learning how to use everything quite easy. Customer service representatives were helpful and provided advice and guidance which I appreciated. Only complaints: Pickup location was not easy to find. Need to include instructions on how to pick up Voicemail -- this was not intuitive and I was unable to pick up my messages because I didn't have any written how-to instructions included in the AMIGO pouch. Recommendation: Should include a universal power adapter with the charging cable.

This was my first time using Amigo and I have nothing but good things to say about my experience. I called customer service (no wait time) from Israel with a question and the representative was patient and courteous. the phone service (reception, etc.) was great, as well. I will use Amigo on my next trip to Israel, no doubt.

This was the first time I had used the service. I was very impressed with everything. The phone worked perfectly. Everything was delivered exactly as ordered.

The 2 phones we rented constantly dropped the calls. Very often the outgoing calls would not go through and incoming calls would not ring. Other than that, the service was not too bad.
