Sterling, A First Advantage CompanyReviews of sterlingcheck.com

This company lacks investigative effort. This company’s software prevents upload of jpeg files. This company makes unreasonable requests, for example asking for W2’s and Income Tax information. I would give this company negative stats, if allowed.

Pathetic service . I have never seen such website where they assume that you submit document which is never asked and once you make payment, they will fail your BGC for the document which was never asked . How can some organisation be so pathetic. Their should be option of negative rating for these kind of bin .

I am the person that will give Sterling answers to the verification on employees. Sterling hires people from other countries that speak very poor English. I value my time but it wasted while I have to listen to a message 10 times or more to try and understand it. Please, if you are a company requesting employment verification find an American based company or call yourself!

I completed my background information on Feb 9th, it is now Mar 9th and my report still isn't completed. The job for which I have applied has rescinded the offer and I have a clean background.

Got charged a $540.00 maintenance fee for what? We have not ever been charged that in the past and just paid for services rendered. Now they have disabled my account, and I have no access to previously paid for services. On top of that, when you call the barely able to speak English, customer service they transfer you back and forth between departments until you hang up. Absolutely horrible service!!!!!

I'm 2 hours into a background check. I couldn't even figure out what went wrong. Our communication is a mess.

My background check was supposed to come back february 6th and then was changed to the 13th then March 5th i ended up not being able to get the job because they took so long on my background.Check.This is the worst background check company.I've ever dealt with The new job that I just got there background check on a different background check company took two days !! Any company do not go through Sterling.Let me repeat that again.Do not go through Sterling. They completely are garbage

So upon receiving an email from my employer I went ahead to complete my background check, I've uploaded my passport and then it asked me for a face scan which I attempted 3 times. My passport photo is identical to how I look now but the system failed so then my background check was put on a hold. It's been in hold for over a week and I've attempted to contact Sterling (first advantage) and also my employer to sort it out and issue a new background check OR reset my current one. They keep trying to pass the blame and saying it's been escalated but nothing has been done and I'll be put offline and unable to work tomorrow if this is not fixed or resolved. Utterly useless
