I don't know how they get the info that they do but it's really helpful. It does take some time to master so be prepared to explore the training, which is extensive. Very comprehensive system when you do understand how to use it.

The UI on the Keyword Kombat makes it stand apart from other competitive SEO research tools, making it easy to dive into shared, exclusive, and missing keywords. The visual display also makes for engaging imagery to non-technical team members. Their new project tab helps segment your research efforts between domains and then further into your own custom groupings for things like campaigns, keyword groups, and whatever else you can come up with. PPC data shows ad copy versions back years in all cases I've found. This is helpful since it enables you to view trends in your niches by directly viewing competitor advertisements. The support team has always been responsive and helpful. My biggest/only gripe is that the automated reports are a little messy in format and their visual style is quite dated compared to the UI of the site, but that is not primarily what I use this service for. Overall this is my SEO/PPC tool of choice, and I've been through many in my 5+ years of work in the field including Moz, SEMRush, CognitiveSEO, and Raventools, to name a few. All of these have their own strengths, but for my needs of actionable and on demand research SpyFu is by far the best.
