I had a little trouble at first finding someone who would come to my home because of my location. I did find someone who was kind enough to help me and she was very nice. I was confident that my little doggie would be safe and looked after while I was away.

In general, the booking process was fairly easy. It was very helpful to easily see all the reviews as well as details like repeat bookings and last minute cancellations. A few things that I think could be improved: * I still don't really understand the start and end times ranges. It isn't very clear what this means when someone is housesitting for several days. * I got a message asking why I chose not to complete the booking. But I HAD confirmed the booking. Turns out the sitter had just forgotten to Accept it. I spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to figure out what I'd done wrong ... the answer was nothing. 🙃 * The thing I most wish for is a function on the app where I can quickly see all the details of my booking including all the details I provided, an easy link to all the sitter's info, and the details of fees paid. As far as I can tell, the only way to access all that is to wade back thru emails and texts and look for info and links. It would be SO helpful to have a section for "Your Bookings" to immediately access all the relevant info. Having said all that, I am still happy with my experience so far and would use rover.com again.

Summer was awesome and did a great job keeping us informed. The website I felt was difficult to use. But finally figured it out to book but when I went back in to tip Summer I couldn't get past the booking page so was unable to tip her.

What made the experience great was our house sitter was fantastic. We cannot say enough good things about her and plan on using her again in December. What made the experience not so great was we had to contact 7 sitters, all listed as being in our zip code. Half never even responded to our request. Rover should do a better job of clearing out those folks along with those that never update their calendars. That would make the product more useful.

I love my pet sitter. The Rover system has kinks that need to fixed. The last 3 times I have booked a pet visit I was overcharged by Rover. For example, I have 1 cat and was charged for dog visit over holidays. My pet sitter fixed the problem each time, but these kinds of slip-ups will send people to other places looking for pet care.

My rover sitter is great. What's awful is your website, it's hard to maneuver and I get frustrated.

The cost was expensive. Website not very user friendly.

I left our pets and home with a housesitter through Rover. I've had numerous housesitters over the years and bar one cancelling a few days before they have been generally great. I decided to pay through Rover this time so I could ensure happy pets, a clean home as we left it, garden watered and no stress. We came back to underfed cats, no water and a filthy home. However what I would say is that once I'd spoken to someone at Rover about this they went out of their way to help. I had numerous forms to fill in but a sole contact, Michelle. We ended up with a full refund for the stay and the emergency plumber bill paid (bar £50 they keep for a premium). It was a nightmare honestly but I would definitely use Rover again. When things went wrong, they did their best to sort it out understanding that your home and your pets are of utmost importance. Rover gets it, so please only become a sitter if you are genuinely in it for a love of animals and an opportunity to live somewhere lovely and new for a time and return it in the same state you arrived in.
