This app was extremely helpful to me when I was in desperate need of a place to take my puppy during the day. It can be a little expensive, but my puppy sitter has helped with house training and socializing my new pup. It is worth the money to have him getting individual attention.

I have been using Rover.com for about 6 months now and couldn't be more pleased with my results. I was out of the state working when I first discovered them. I found a long-term walker for my dog who also ran a doggy day-care program where he could interact with other dogs. During the booking process you meet with your potential pet carer and, as it is all through the service, there is some sense of security. Rover.com has been GREAT help and I would recommend them highly.

I needed to email the dog sitter on the day of pick-up but the system seemed to have already closed the chain of communications I had with her. I had to find an older message and reply to that one in order to get in contact with her. Was a little frustrating because the message was about pick-up time.

Rover is Nice But Needs Improvements Rover is a very convenient service to pet owners. Rover claims that they take less than 25% of applicants who apply. I beg to differ. The caretaker I had was brand new to pet sitting and she had no experience in sitting for dogs, at least that was my experience. They need to vet the sitters that apply; being a nice person is not enough; certified in administering medicine, experience in care taking are better criteria.

I've had great experiences with the three dog sitters that I've used. One as a dog walker and two for overnights. I would say that the only drawback is that Rover collects money up at the time you make the reservation. I can at times have a lot of money paid out months in advance of my reservation. I would like to see perhaps a deposit and deposit refundable within a certain time frame like 48 hours or determined by the sitter.

I find Rover.com to be rather easy to use to find a trusted pet sitter. They can locate potential sitters using your zip code or address to help you find sitters convenient to your location. This makes it quite easy to go visit those people to see if you and your pet are compatible, to see what their facilities are like.

Rover is new to me. They have taken over the old service I have been using for a couple of years. The previous service was much easier to use. The one saving grace is that I still have the same sitters. Rover doe's seem to be improving, Hopefully they will get better.
