Payments Flaws
Not clear guidance on how payments work. Poor management and limitations to use employers codes. I appreciate the quick reply from Rover now encouraging to contact them for help when needed. Then I would also want to add here that I’m waiting for their response/action on a help needed requested 2 days ago.

Uncaring and dishonest sitter
The pet sitter did not spend the nights with my blind and elderly dog. Rover expects me to negotiate with her for a refund. I don't want to ever speak to her again. I notified Rover of the problem during the contracted time and its still expects me to talk with her.

Update your searching engine
You can't search by PRICE when looking for a sitter in your area. You have to just scroll. You also can't see the full out-the-door price until booking. This isn't 2005 anymore. Every booking engine for other services has these features. Why doesn't Rover?

Great dog walkers. Terrible app.
This is a review of the Rover app/service, not for my dog walker. She is great. This service/app seems geared only towards FINDING a dog walker/sitter. It's absolutely terrible at maintaining the relationship with a dog walker. The iOS app is confusing and the website is not much better. Why does it ask me to rate my dog walker after every walk they do? It randomly gives me the option to leave a tip. The user experience needs a complete redesign. It's a confusing mess.

Horrible experience with a sitter and…
Horrible experience with a sitter and she is still on the app… she lied about me in my review after she stole my items, cancelled my stay and continually threatened me, but she is still in the app…

Do not use Deja from Oswego, she is a thief
Our sitter Deja did not return our $40 water and food bowls, our $40 furminator, our bag of dental treats, our $75 crate. She blocked myself and my husband so that we could no longer try to regain our stolen items. I will not be using rover again as they do not vet if their sitters are organized, professional, or honest. The only positive was that my dog was alive when we returned from our trip

OK unless something goes wrong.
For the most part, sitters are very good and I've had good experiences. But beware if something goes wrong because Rover does not stand behind their guarantees or their so-called insurance protection. This hurts both the sitters and customers.
