I have worked with PSI for quite a few years now as Director of Health Services. We enroll all of our international students in the the PSI Platinum High School Plan. The coverage is great and the customer service is even better.

I started my relationship with PSI in 2019 selling their health insurance to our international students and I also used it as a customer for my daughter. I have PSI insurance for 3 years now and my experience has been good. However, with the launch of the PSI mobile app they are now the best insurance for international students. No company around even the school plan can match the level of service and technology.

This is an update. Thank you, PSI for promptly responding to my concern. This concern has been adequately resolved. I am back on a plan and I am happy now. PSI is no longer affordable and that's sad I have been using psi insurance for over a year now until they suddenly increase the cost of their policy from about 96 to 125+ making them unaffordable. Most international students like me, have never visited the hospital for any kind of treatment. i have never submitted a claim and I do not put myself in harm's way, God helping me. it is unfair that I have to pay so much before now, for what I never used. Now that I am asked to pay more, this is definitely ridiculous. I wish PSI will remain loyal to me that I have no way to cover heavy insurance costs.

Unfortunately, our premiums are set by our carrier not by PSI. Insurance carriers issue us the premiums based on increase in medical costs, claims, age of insured, etc. Also, our plans are Group Plans, so the premiums are based on the average claims per customer. For every customer who never uses the plan, there is another customer who uses it twice as much. We spread the risk among all customers.
