DANGER!
DANGER!! I own a Pampered Chief Air Fryer Model 100194 and it nearly caught on fire. When I started it yesterday it sparked and I smelt electrical and plastic burning. I immediately turned it off and opened the top to inspect. The white wire that goes from the heating coil to the circuit board sparked and started to burn (I have pictures but cannot insert on this web site). I called customer service and Rosa seemed very concerned. She took my info and sent it to Peggy Malinowski in Risk Management. I explained what happened and sent photos of the burnt circuit board. Peggy said "This does not appear to be a defect"... "since the product is two years out of warranty a replacement cannot be offered" Just to be clear this is absolutely a DANGEROUS defect and I was only trying to alert them. I am insulted that they implied I was trying to get free stuff. On a side note why isn't there an on/off switch on this product?
