My guidance counselors were friendly and professional. The lady that worked closely with me always sent reminders and timely responses to my emails. Feedback on essays was good, especially the extra overview of my application provided by another person before I submitted my early decision. Although not necessary to do well on application, I would advise this service for those who would like knowledgable feedback and a source to guide you through the process.

I loved my counselor so much. She helped me every step of the way. Could not have asked for a better experience.

Our daughter started working with InGenius during her junior year in high school. I initially spoke with a representative who spent almost an hour discussing our daughter, and her college journey. At the end of the conversation I truly felt the InGenius Prep counselor understood my daughter, and importantly, how to guide her. A senior counselor was assigned to our daughter right away and they began Zooming within a few days. During her fall semester of her junior year they held weekly video conferences every Tuesday at 7. The video conferences then went to 2x per week. The main essay began to take shape, as did the supplemental essays. Although the process was overwhelming, the InGenius approach was methodical from the beginning. The global plan was to figure out what needed to be in the main essay vs. the supplementals. At one point the InGenius counselor advised they were going to start from scratch. Our daughter was devastated. However, she is now a few weeks from hitting the send button and is happy and confident with her essays and supplementals. InGenius helped her organize the activities list within the word limit. When the activities list was completed my wife exclaimed "wow", "brilliant", not sure how they were able to manage the descriptions within the word count. The process took many hours and was well worth it. A side benefit of the experience is that our daughter learned to write at a much, much higher level. The counselor assigned to her provided weekly assignments for her to write and edit her essays. He also provided thought provoking prompts and feedback every couple of days. Our daughter was provided with resources and readings related to writing, the college search process, and insider tips from actual college admissions counselors and readers employed by InGenius Prep. In the process of working with her counselor she honed her grammar, analytical reading skills, and writing. Her reading comprehension score on the ACT jumped from a 21 to a 34. Although we didn't hire InGenius for ACT prep, we give credit to InGenius for guiding her analytical reading skills over the past year. If we had another child going through the college application process, we would hireInGenius Prep as soon as possible. Our daughter will likely get into her top picks. We started to work with Ingenius Prep when my son started 9th grade. I spoke with 5 other organizations before deciding on Ingenius Prep. It has been a great 4 years. The team at Ingenius Prep has been a huge help through out his high school journey. Their help and support has been instrumental in helping my son get into top schools. He had offers from Ivy league and other top schools. They helped him stand out. Highly recommended!!

We are so happy we retained IngeniusPrep to help us with our son's college application process. Although our son is very bright, he had some very difficult challenges that needed to be overcome and we could not have known how to do it by ourselves. The team at IngeniusPrep took the time to understand the issues and to ultimately turn them into positives. Further, they continually pushed our son on his essays to improve them and make them stand out among the many that had to be read by the administrators at each university to which he applied. At the end of the day, we are so pleased as our son got into his first choice and also had more than one acceptance to choose from.

Her counselors really helped her develop her interests, and pushed to her take on leadership roles in her school. When it was time to apply, they helped her frame her application in a way that made her stand out from her peers - no easy feat in today's landscape. She ended up receiving two Ivy League offers and one from Rice. We are beyond thrilled!
