Of course they can't drown out all noise (snoring), but have made a world of difference! Silicon ear plugs kept causing bacterial ear infections. They stay put unlike the foam plugs. The only slight drawback is that they stick to long hair. However, combs out easily.

We have tried a lot of ear plugs for my 11 year old daughter who is a competitive swimmer and is in the water 5 days per week. She had two ear infections in back to back months and since she started using these lovely ear plugs-no ear infections for 2 months now. She feels it keeps the water out the most and stays in her ear the best. They do start to break down after about 2 month of chlorine exposure and don't stick together as good. But they saved her swim season!!!

The product arrived promptly. So far these plugs compare favourably to silicon in the stickiness department although after the first week they are losing their stickiness a bit (maybe it's just my ears). They block sound well.
