I had two stairlifts installed last August. The one for 6 steps is fine and I feel comfortable and safe on it. However, on the one for 8 steps I do NOT feel safe and comfortable. It could have been 2"-3" longer, as far as I can see. Then it would have been easier for me to get off and on, and not feel like I am "dangling" up there. A technician was down last Monday. He listened, observed. Nothing was changed. Respectfully, J. Baker

We had great service and response when we were researching chair stairlifts. The rep was friendly and informative and arranged a very quick install. The support and maintenance has a bit to be desired. The same day of the install we realized that the chair had an issue travelling over a stair and requested an adjustment. The installer indicated he was going away for the weekend but would check back the following week. After numerous phone calls where he was going to show up, he never showed. After leaving a number of messages with Coop, we finally had enough and asked to speak to a supervisor. We didn't receive a call back. Once again we called and the lady answering the phone was frustrated we hadn't received a call back and promised us we would have someone out that day. We did and he fixed the rail to allow the chair to travel over the step in question. We had another reason for support after fixing a squeaky step. The power rail was compromised so we again asked for a service call. We were prepared to pay the fee. Same issue with receiving messages that someone would be there and then never showed. After 3 calls, we again spoke to the same lady and she made it happen. We had the issue fixed and so far we're good to go. It's a great stairlift but the service end could definitely be improved.

I left is continually in loose and wobbly ever since I had it installed also once it was repaired it was still loose and fault and it cost me the rear view window of my SUV it had to be broken replaced at my expense that's also cost dents in the back of my car as it swings up when I'm driving and carrying a scooter on the back I am not very satisfied with it but it's what the VA selected and I'll put up with that's all I have to say thank you.

The stair lift seems to be an excellent tool for my wife, however the gentlemen who said they would be back in a week to install a missing part have not called nor returned.

It is too sensitive for having to be straight before it will move, also goes down about a foot and stops. Bumpy going down. I haven’t contacted the seller yet but will do soon.

It took 4 conversations to get the stairlift installed closer to the wall so that it would be even usable in our narrow stairway. Position of rail was originally 3" further from the wall than the manual describes as normal. They would not budge on the position that this was as close as they could go. Finally, a different installer moved the rail 2-3/4" closer to the wall. (He did leave the filling of the holes that were exposed in the stairs to me to fix. I did so using 3/16" wood dowels.) Regarding the seat position at the top of stairs, they did not think it through from the standpoint of the user. They arbitrarily limited the length of the rail so that, in the end, getting off and on at the top is unnecessarily risky (if the person was more disabled than I am right now). 4 or 6 more inches would have made a difference, but the decision on this was arbitrary. Regarding the Bruno product, I am quite satisfied with this basic unit.
