A review of our records shows that the item shipped to you was received directly from the manufacturer and never left our facility until it was shipped to you. Dear Bridget, It is regrettable that you have found your experience to have been less than stellar. As with any retail environment, there are times that an item will sell out prior to pulling it from a catalog offering. We attempted to make things right by upgrading you to a higher quality fireplace at the same cost which seemed to be agreeable to you but based on the review it appears that was not adequate. Regarding the call screening, we do not screen calls. Based on the recordings of the conversations, it appears that you took offense to being asked who was calling. It is our practice to ask the callers name so that a call is not blind transferred to another agent. It tends to be a fairly wide-spread practice but if that offended you, we are sorry that it did. In reference to the freight company, we do not have control over their standard practices. We do choose nationally recognized freight companies for all of our larger shipments. All of which have similar practices regarding appointments, storage and delivery times. In one of your conversations with the office, you had asked for delivery at 10:00 PM which we were unable to accommodate with any freight company. Again, we are sorry that your experience was less than stellar. We hope that in the future, you may be able to find a company that can accommodate your unique needs. Dear TerBear, We understand that waiting for an item that you really want can be frustrating. We wish you had reached out to us and we would have been happy to assist in tracking the package. We also added the tracking to your order on our website on the 17th so that a simple click would have given you the exact location of the package. It appears that after you ordered on 12/16 (after our shipping cutoff time), your order shipped FedEx Ground on 12/17. According to the FedEx tracking site, the first attempted delivery was Saturday 12/21 but was marked undelivered due to the business being closed which we interpret as the leasing office being closed. The same results were experienced on 12/23 at 3:34 PM local time and 12/24 at 12:36 PM local time. The package has been delivered as of 12/26 at 1:43 PM (coincidentally, a couple of hours before this review was written). We do wish that you had reached out to us so that we could have alleviated your frustration. But, we are happy that your package is there at your home so that you can retrieve it from the leasing office. If there are any other concerns, we ask that you please reach out to us at 866-238-9228. As hard as we try to make sure that the items shipped to our customers arrive in good working order, there are times that is not the outcome. Dear Carl, We regret that we were unable to ship your order immediately. It is unfortunate, but even with our best efforts, we do run out of stock at times. We offered to ship the item directly from the manufacturer which you refused. To clarify, we authorize credit cards when the order is received. However, we do not charge the card until the items are shipped. Your credit card was never charged for the order and the authorization was voided upon your request to cancel. Dear Clarence, We regret that you are not completely happy with your purchase. It is important to note that black sand is prone to natural variations. It will also change appearance over time and use in a fire feature. Our image on the website is a representation of the product as provided by the manufacturer. Given the nature of the product, it would be extremely difficult to show all possible "looks" of the sand. Dear Jen Marcario, It is regrettable that you did not have a satisfactory experience with our company. Upon researching the situation, you were informed that the product could be returned but had to be in the original packaging and be in "new and salable" condition. When the item arrived at our warehouse, it was received damaged. Although the original packaging was in the box along with the product, the product was not secured into the packaging and was free to move around in the box. This resulted in damage to the decorative cover on the product that could not be repaired. An offer was made to return your product to you at our cost but you have declined. We will retain the product until 2/28/19 if you choose to have it sent back to you. After that time, it will be disposed. If you would like it returned, please contact us at 866-238-9228.
